"The hotel is located on a great place, walking distance of the most interesting points and restaurants. There is an extremely bad smell, coming from the bathroom canal, so bad that I was waking up from the smell couple of times. This is the top 1 reason I will not come back to this particular hotel, despite the location. (Constantly smell like shi*ts) There are double windows and in between them it is full with spider webs - good luck if you are allergic. The mini bar was absolutely empty, no event a bottle of water. In overall, the hotel seems normal at first glance, but within the first hours those things mentioned above starts annoying very much."

"Despite booking for four people through your site and specifying my children's ages, they charged us an extra €150 for the children's room. The pool was listed as free, but I had to pay extra for it. Because of the indifference and poor attitude of the reception staff, I will not consider going back to this hotel. I'm so ripped off because of you that I won't be booking again, and I'm even deleting the app. We even paid for water! I've never seen anyone charge for water anywhere in the world, and I've never seen such a bad hotel."

"We had a comfortable room with lots of hot water in the shower within walking distance from the station and the center. There were many shared facilities like a kitchen area with coffee/tea (paid), seating area and smoking area. We didn't find the listed washing machine and there was no fridge in the room. There was no reception, and communication re early check in and/or bag drop was difficult. The toilet area was always wet because of there was no separate shower area or shower curtain."

"I have stayed at Hotel Evmolpia several times over the last few years, and every time I have been greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who immediately put us at ease and offered to tell us more about the city's sights and available experiences. The hotel offers refreshments included in your stay in the form of coffee, lemonade, and cucumber-lemon water, which was particularly appreciated on the sweltering Plovdiv days. We also had complimentary wine and cheese afternoon drinks, and a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished. We had a large room for two with our own balcony, a spacious bathroom, and all the amenities we required. The available pillow menu for any and all of your pillow needs was a really thoughtful touch. Already looking forward to my next stay there in beautiful Plovdiv!"

"I can’t imagine staying anyplace better when visiting Plovdiv. We were a family of four with a car, and the apartment-style room we had was spotlessly clean and met all of our needs (and beyond). After contacting Bright House in advance, one of the two parking spaces was reserved for us, which was very convenient. The Kapana district with many bars and restaurants is right across the street, and most of the sights in Plovdiv are all a short walk away. Also, our room had a great balcony that overlooked the old town. A truly wonderful stay!"

"The location of the hotel is good is nearby the bus station to Turkey. A large supermarket Lidi is nearby and free parking is available. Some apartments equipped with washing machine and kitchen utensils. You can save a lot if you need washing your clothes and make dinner yourselves."

"All Staff was very attentive and the hotel is very clean and tidy (10/10) reception have a good knowledge of English, some staff have limited English, this does not deter there ability's and are keen to assist and get help as and when needed. "This is a great little hotel with the most wonderful staff. Within minutes of arrival I injured my hand in a freak accident. Ina in reception volunteered to take me to A&E at the local hospital. Once there she acted as my interpreter & paid for a Tetanus shot & Antibiotics plus dressings etc. Totally above and beyond her role and on her own time as she had finished her shift. The food in Avocado restaurant which is attached to reception is really delicious, Beef Shank, Foie Gras, Veal Tongue 🤤 The Staff were really polite and helpful and the 7 in our group were delighted we had chosen the Plaza. I will definitely be returning here."

"It doesn't deserve 5 stars because it doesn't have the amenities it should. It is a nice historic hotel, with antique furniture, but uncomfortable to spend a stay there. Small beds, wooden floors, poor lighting, very narrow bathroom, with very high bathtub, old faucets. They do not have mineral water in the room, nor a coffee maker. Poor breakfast. With little variety of fruits, sweet and salty. Only coffee machine and no special milks. Access only with stairs, where you had to carry your suitcases."
