We stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it so we decided to return for a few days to explore the region. Unfortunately the lack of maintenance let's the hotel down. Peeling paint in the dining room and on bathroom ceiling and showers which need bleaching and re grouting along with cheap ill fitting shower heads. The menu included with the half board was disappointing with reheated dishes. The beds are comfortable but no chairs and I had no bedside table. Plug points very sparse. The staff are friendly and welcoming but the hotel is in need of TLC.

Very desolate place. Not much to do and see. Restaurants are very poor but for hiking perfect. Hotel was switching from concept, lot to learn but good. Environment is not nice, cold as you can expect from a monastery. Villages are sad, but for nature it’s good.

I have visited Poblet several times over many years and it truly is a magical place, however this time i decided to stay for a couple of nights at the recently renovated Hostatgeria de Poblet, which is within the Monastery grounds. I say recently renovated, as this used to be a Hospital or Hospice that was originally built for people who wanted to spend some time reflecting. It was taken over a year ago and is under new management of Francesc, who created me on arrival and later gave me a guided tour of the establishment. It has been tastefully renovated to provide a peaceful place to stay for visitors and travellers alike, whilst also providing modern amenities. It provides the perfect base for seeing the region and visiting the other religious Monasteries of Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges. The entire region is steeped in History and travelling between the sites exposes one to numerous Vinyards, that make for a beautiful setting. The onsite Restaurant at the Hostatgeria is also under new management with a Chef from San Sebastian, whose food is truly amazing. They have a daily seasonal menu, as well as an a la carte menu and offer local wines from the Conca de Barberà area. I highly recommend a visit to the region and also to the Hotel.

Fantastic location. Very peaceful and beautiful. Rooms are basic but good quality.
Receptionists very friendly and helpful. Interesting dinner and a nice breakfast.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the monastery and attend compline.

Construction within the walls of the monastery. Simple but warm. Private and free parking. Nice and helpful staff despite the lack of room service, Simple and spartan room but the place wants it. Noisy parquet floor with a lot of echo in the corridor Restaurant with a closed mind, very complicated with a more than limited menu Correct food no more Visit of the monastery which is worth it, well organized despite the lack of a guide in person. We stayed 2 nights but 1 night would have been enough Medieval Festival in Mont Blanc in April is worth the detour

A different experience. The accommodation is quite good. The standard price rooms are spacious, with a large flat-screen TV, two large beds, a fully equipped sink, and a clean bathroom. They allow dogs to stay but with a supplement of 12 e per night, which is appreciated because it is difficult to find places where you can take your pet. They can be lowered at both lunch and dinner, but we didn't. The correct half board, although the evening menu is quite limited. As regards lunch, it was better than dinner, but very fair, since, as in our case, when we came down a little late, there was almost nothing left and we could hardly repeat ourselves. The final evaluation in general is good. It is recommended to spend a few days off. The attention of the reception staff as well as the waitresses was good, nothing to say. Points in its favor is that you cannot hear the bells of the monastery since the windows are double glazed. BRILLIANT.
