Rimouski|8.05km from Empress of Ireland Pavilion
I stayed at the Navigateur Hotel from the C Hotels chain during a couple of days for a family vacation. This hotel is located downtown Rimouski and close to the St. Lawrence River shore. I booked an executive suite that comes with a ling size bed and a double Murphy bed. The property This hotel is located downtown and from a short distance from the shore. This is a small property close to a Pacini restaurant. There are some stores and restaurants from a many minute walk. The hotel hall is small with some armchairs. An exterior parking is available. The hotel also owns a spa not located in the hotel main building. One must cross the street to get there. The room My room was spacious. The floor is in wood. The ceiling is high and there is some echo in the room. The heating system is quiet. I didn’t use the air conditioning. The closet is not closed. The Murphy bed is very convenient because it provides a large area in the room, when it is not open. Also, that bed is comfortable and easy to open and close. The king size bed is somewhat comfortable and provides an ok night of sleep. Nightstands are located on each side of that bed. Nevertheless, only one is equipped with a power outlet and a USB socket. The bed base is massive and its corners stick out so it is easy to accidentally hit them. Also, I noticed that one of the two corners is damaged probably from being hit too many times. The room is well equipped. There is a table with two chairs. But the table was broken and unstable to the point where it is not possible to but a glass on it at the risk of spilling it. A couch and a large coffee table define well an area to relax or to watch TV. Also, a fridge, a microwave oven, a Nespresso coffee machine (original), and an ironing board with its electric iron are available. The television is wide and doesn’t offer the possibility to connect a streaming service, but a HDMI outlet is accessible in the back. There is also a large cabinet with many shelves for storage. Drawers are located under the bed for additional storage. A desk is available, with a rollers chair. Power and USB outlets are accessible from the desk. A shelf is also provided to place a suitcase, but it is too narrow and a large suitcase will be unstable on it. Since this shelf is located under the wardrobe, a suitcase becomes less accessible when coats are hung. A carpet or a tray for boots should have been placed near the entrance door to collect water from boots in the winter. Since there is nothing planned for that, water accumulated on the floor. Although the hotel is located near the river and that my room is located on the 2nd floor, the view doesn’t show the shore but to nearby building instead. The bathroom The bathroom is accessible by a translucent glass door. From a visual standpoint this door provides good intimacy, but it is not sufficiently soundproofed. The bath room is large. There is a lot of surface around the sink, and a lot of storage. There is not bath an
