"I don't understand how this can be the best-rated hotel in Pomorie according to tripadvisor, I'm not saying he was bad, but I don't think he deserves four stars. The furniture looked like it wasn't nailed down and the drawers were crooked. The elevator was very slow and sometimes it didn't work normally, so we had to use a card and once I got stuck with the elevator open on the fourth floor"

"We thank TripAdvisor for giving us the opportunity to express our opinion. Since the management of the Grand Hotel - Pomorie has not responded to any of our emails or our request for a refund promised upon our departure. Indeed, we had booked and paid for our stay from October 13th to October 24th, 2025, but due to a sudden rise in my blood pressure, I was rushed to the hospital where an abnormal rise was found due to the sulfur contained in the hotel's thermal pool We presented the doctor's note noting the rise in pressure and accepted by the hotel. We then had to pack on the 19th Oct, book flight back home. On the day of our departure, the Desk Manager asked for my IBAN account number, just to lull me into a false sense of security, wasn't it? We duly paid Euro 1599. and expected a refund of euro 700 since the 19th Oct/2025. DavidPtito & Lilia Fisher"

"Great hotel but in the wrong place. We were informed some facilities would not be available as the season was coming to an end.We had a excellent welcome by reception staff given a good good pack as we had arrived late.We were shown to our room within 10 mins of arriving. The room was excellent spotless clean,large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The next morning we were surprised but pleased to see we had been upgraded to pool view. The next two days were very enjoyable, weather inclement but good food and excellent company of other guests. Then it all went downhill!!! On the Friday we found out there was a weekend convention taking place. From Friday evening meal to Sunday lunch the Hotel was taken over by a swarm of locusts and a battle for a table commenced. We decided to go out of the Hotel to eat on the Saturday but found nothing was opened. After the convention ended dining facilities got back to normality but the quality and variety of food on offer definitely deteriorated and the Hotel lost its sparkle. Thanks to follow guests we were able to enjoy our last few days but was glad the holiday had come to an end. We grudgingly give this beautiful hotel a3 star rating mainly due the fabulous housekeeping and reception staff. Sorry but wrong hotel in wrong place at wrong time of year."

"We stayed in Penelope Palace, Pomorie for a week in mid June. First impressions were very positive. We were met at the taxi by a porter who took our luggage to reception and then to our room. We were pleasantly surprised that the room/apartment was so spacious. It was immaculately clean and tidy, as was the whole hotel. There was complimentary tea/ Coffee. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent. There was a choice of 8 different breakfasts. All served to us by very polite and helpful waiters/ waitresses. Daniel, in particular, went out of his way to make our wedding anniversary dinner special. The bar staff were also very attentive. I must give Teddy a special mention. The hotel itself was situated straight across the road from a beautiful white, sandy beach. Our only slightly negative point was that the hotel is located slightly out of the way, meaning that it was necessary to get a taxi or bus ( not expensive) to go to the town centre. All in all, we had a brilliant holiday. "

"We were this hotel one night with my husband and child and I have to say it was the worst hotel I have ever been! Hotel staff was very unfriendly and you have to pay extra if you want to use beach infront of the hotel. Furthermore, after we went home we noticed that there was bedbucks in our clothes so the painfulnes of the trip didn't end to the hotel. Don't go this hotel!!!!"
