Best Hotels in Pompei, Italy

We had a great time in Pompei thanks to staying in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful every minute - at reaching the hotel by the right train in the evening or even to get tickets to Vesuvio volcano that was overbooked online. Thanks to them we did not need to buy the package tour and we free to get there. The hotel has unique ambience and its decently devoted to the history of Pompei. It is next door to the ancient Pompei. Many restaurants are nearby. The room was great, spacious, quiet and clean. There was no noise from the street. We were sorry that the spa closes so early but the hotel was transparent in it. The breakfast was great for sweet lovers but a bit restrained for others. The bowls were not replenished until we have finished the breakfest. I was missing more vegetables and cheeses and those small local delicius things such as olivas or dried tomatoes that makes the breakfast at the hotel great. But it were just minor things. Thanks to all the staff for a great time.

We arrived at this property and were told our accommodation wasn’t in the main building but instead two minutes away up the street. We were then walked round to accommodation with signage up for “Eco B&B”. When we asked about this were then told this was a “sister hotel”. Feel free to Google this but Eco B&B is a 2-star B&B and Diana is a 3-star hotel. The difference was clear from the rooms and there was also c.40 stairs to climb with your luggage with no elevator. The B&B accommodation is above very busy and noisy late night bars and restaurants on the Main street in Pompeii. We highlighted we were unhappy about this particularly due to noise concerns and had booked Hotel Diana not this one and were moved back, taking luggage again with us. In terms of Hotel Diana, this is a nice enough hotel for the money paid. Air con and tv work well. Breakfast was basic but nice and bathroom was pleasant. Luggage storage was available the next day. If staying at a peak time I’d just beat my comments in mind and try to arrive early. We were taken aback about what happened and didn’t get an apology at any point.

May 13, 2023. In April, Judy and I visited Pompeii with another couple who are good friends and traveling companions, while visiting Italy, Switzerland and Sweden. Our group has considerable international travel experience and each of us really enjoyed Mirosa Bed and Breakfast; the people and accommodations were great. It was an excellent choice. Of note, during our stay issues arose with a booked tour and related timing and transportation issues. Owners Mirosa and husband Pasquale personally took control and, through considerable effort on their part, made it all work out. It's the third time I stay in this building and I feel more and more at home thanks to the great hosts' welcome. The B&b has all comforts, including the common breakfast room that allows you to eat at other times of the day in the way you most enjoy. The owner also in the hall before the rooms allows you to enjoy: baskets, dishes, picknick-placed, the tea and coffee for a relaxing moment and a freezer bar where you can put your own things. The strength point is the location where you are located, i.e. 5 minutes walk from the center and the entrance of the excavations. Super friendly hosts will be ready to answer any information and request. E.g. reservations for excursions.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Pompeii ruins, its just a 15min walk to the entrance. We found the location via a sign next to a locked gate and phoned the owner who answered straight away with the code for the keys to enter. The rooms were located up a couple of flights of stairs in a building complex. As you enter through the hallway door there is a breakfast station comprising of jams, Nutella, packet cake, selection of teas including fruit tea, a fruit bowl and fresh croissants which are delivered in the mornings and were absolutely delicious. Also a coffee machine for expresso, a water dispenser and fridge with fruit juice and milk as well as cereal dispensers containing corn flakes. The room was so lovely, very contemporary and clean, everything looked new, we had a family room with a huge king sized bed and a double sofa bed, all with crisp clean sheets. Great lighting options and blackout blinds, there was air conditioning but we didn't need it. Beautifully decorated bathroom with large walk in shower, shampoo/conditioner and body wash were available, and good lighting over the mirror. Great new hairdryer too! Was lovely sitting on the balcony before going out in the evening, it gets the sun all day. When we asked if we could store our luggage on our check out day the owner was very kind and said it was fine to leave it all there for the day as no one else was due to arrive in that room, this was very much appreciated as we were visiting the ruins for 5 hours before departing for Naples. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We stayed at Pompeii to enjoy the ruins and Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii was great, we came here on a hot spring weekend and there were lots of tourists. The church is the focus of the tour, with squares and gardens in front. We spent hours there watching the busy scenes. On Sunday, we went to the square, which coincided with Catholic and Orthodox Easter, and many people came from afar to make pilgrimages. We stayed here for the convenience of visiting Mount Vesuvius but don’t get stuck with those who sell the journey. There is a bus to Ampiteatro Square for 3 euros. They will spare no effort to sell you the journey that will cost more. All locations are accessible by public transport and are cheap.

The hotel is 2 minute to enter the Ruins of Pompei and wide variety of restaurants and bars just outside of the hotel. Our junior suite was very spacious and modern with a view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Ruins of Pompei. Great breakfast included with the stay. All the staff was very helpful, attentive and pleasant. They also had several pretty and terraces. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Pompei. It will be our first choice next time we go back.
