I was on the camino walk and stayed at Boa Vila on 16 May 2025. I left behind my reader and messaged the hotel of my loss when I arrived at my next destination, Caldas de Reis. I have not received any response from the hotel since then. I am really disappointed in the management of this accomodation.

Spent a night here on the Camino. Check in was easy and friendly - complimentary large bottle of water. Noise from street was expected - not great but they had double windows and shutters so not much more they would do! Comfy beds and a clean bathroom. The most annoying thing was the sound of some sort of pump that came on and off a million times in the night - that was way more annoying than the street noise. Avoid room 104

Great property staff where very accommodating..and helpful..room was very large...beds comfortable..excellent location. Only negative it is in a main thoroughfare and so is very noisy at night..so request a room at the back ..they did supply earplugs

Well located in the old town, walking distance from everything on authentic old pedestrian streets. Strange very old hotel that needs refurbishment of many types. The reception is dark and dismal, the restaurant door is closed all day except for breakfast. Breakfast was very skimpy with a piece of toast offered with a thin layer of tomato spread on it?? Good coffee though! I stayed in a solo room - rather dismal.. and ancient and no aircon in 36 degrees temperatures. The bathroom was renovated and nice though. The elderly lady and gentleman were obliging in a reserved sort of way. I would not choose to stay there again ...

I liked this hotel more than I expected to. It is a traditional older Spanish hotel, very conveniently located in the old town. Our room was quite spacious with several big windows overlooking the street and good sound proofing. The bathroom has been nicely upgraded. Wifi was good (we could stream the whole of the Queen’s funeral). Aircon worked quickly and quietly (great bc it was 30 degrees). Twin beds were comfy, check in fine, unlimited cold water provided.

Stayed here for one night while walking the Camino Portuguese. The hotel is right on the Camino route and close to many bars and restaurants. The lady who checked me in went to a lot of trouble to print my baggage label. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant next door which is owned by the hotel serves a basic breakfast from 7am.

The lady that checked me in presented me with a cold liter bottle of water which was a very nice touch. Rooms were small but very clean. Located in center of town with many eating places nearby. Right on the Camino.

Llegamos un día más tarde por problemas de salud de nuestro pequeñoComo era de esperar, la reserva se cancelóEso no fue lo peor… lo más terrible fue el trato que recibimos al llegarLa persona de recepción empezó a sermonearnos con que tendríamos que haber avisadoDe muy mal manera nos informó que la habitación se había vendidoPor otro lado, estaba lloviendo y estábamos con todas las maletas y un niño de un año encimaNo le importó y nos dijo que nos fuéramos a conseguir otro lugar, ni siquiera nos ofreció wifi para que podamos bookear desde allí desde la recepción Una falta de empatía y maltrato en su máxima expresión, espero que nunca nadie tenga que pasar por esa experiencia
