Good hotel for family trip.

Go to a passing hotel in Tofino, because it is difficult to book a hotel in Tofino, the hotel is the standard configuration of the motel, better than those 99, there is a gas station and McDonald's opposite the hotel

Do NOT stay here .. The place is a SHODDY DIVE ... We were charged full price ($220/night plus $33 in taxes/night = $253/night !!). The outside of the hotel is literally falling apart; the restaurant was shut down (and has been shut down for at least a year); the pool was shut down; there was no pop/drinks in the vending machine; the toilet didn't flush; and they even reused the paper room card sleeves ! (they were dirty and gross). When these issues were brought to their attention, they denied any discount and said we had to pay full price eventhough amenities (restaurant, pool) were unavailable !! TOTAL RIP-OFF !!

This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The cleanliness was adequate, but the hotel and the room itself looked very shabby. And they don't have central air-conditioning, only the noisy window kind. You can imagine how much fun it was to try to sleep amidst the noise of the neighbouring room's air-conditioners. The phone did not work, I tried to make a local call, following the instructions and dialing '9' before the local number, but it would not go through. One of the house-keepers volunteered to help, but she couldn't make it work either. She said the hotel is getting worse and worse and they're seriously short-staffed. The mattress was obviously very old - very lumpy and uncomfortable. And all this for $200 plus tax! NEVER AGAIN. Stay away from this place, stay far away!

It's a shame this place is in such a bad location, because the staff are really sweet and the rooms are nice and clean. (A little dated, but nice.) I just moved because I really didn't want the company vehicle being broken into. They said they just redid the pool and are filling it up tomorrow, so they're on their way. Sad you can't pick up this hotel and move it elsewhere.

It was great here , not sure why the last 2 reviews were so bad it was the complete opposite for us , we booked 2 rooms both a good size , bed was comfortable, room and bathroom clean , guys at the front friendly and helpful , ice machine in hallway , shower good , I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it Breakfast is unavailable atm due to renovations Don’t hesitate to stay here 🙂

Actual blood on the sheets - absolutely disgusting. Had to change rooms and the second room had holes in the smelly carpet, mouldy and ripped wallpaper in every corner, and a pool filled with sand and hair. It’s truly the worst hotel we’ve stayed at at the cost of over two hundred dollars a night. Believe the bad reviews - I wish I had! Port Alberni has very few places to stay but you’ll wish you’d slept elsewhere. Also to note no restaurant, and no elevator.

Over priced and run down. Staff said we were the only room in the hotel and then booked a trashy, noisy couple who yelled and wandered the halls naked at midnight right next door to us. We had to move at 12:40am into a room that was freezing cold and rundown. Paint chipped and peeling, bathroom tub chipped and peeling, taps not working etc. Would never stay again.

The front desk clerk advised that they are giving the hotel a large renovation including new beds, air conditioning and many other features. The bed was our only complaint but for the price compared to others could hardly complain. The hotel is immaculate. If it was not for the bed would have given them a 5. Never tried their breakfast buffet (great price, just too early for us).

I went there for breakfast buffet and it was so good and also I want to said to this a beautiful hearing impaired girl was so awesome to do her job! I am very proud of her and I decided to have her a good tip for do her good job! She is very nice and cleaning well around the restaurant… I’ll come back soon hopefully I’ll see her again :) wish I knew her name. And hope you would read this comment ❤️

Excellent customer service and great place to stay with family..very good breakfast ..will definitely come back for our stay in Port Alberni ..highly recommended for family or business trips.A must stay

Very comfortable bed. Clean. Great staff. Very helpful. Liquor store right across the street Good shower. Highly recommend Can't think of anything else to say. All was very good. On a Friday night go to the dock area. They had a live bad worth seeing

Extremely helpful and kind staff, great service and rooms. Good hot tub and swimming pool. The indian guys working at front are very kind and knowledgeable. Prices are very good compared to other places.
