Accommodation in need of refurbishment, friendly staff accommodating to provide portable heater for bedroom that has no heating.

Room space and cleanliness is average. Water in hotel not drinkable, nor useable and it is yellowish. Though they provide bottle water, it's troublesome coz need to keep asking for water to drink, brush teeth and even rinse cup. No automatic room cleaning like changing of towels and refilling toiletries. Insects can be seen crawling in the bedroom. Disappointed w the overall experience staying at the hotel given its not so cheap price and photos on trip.com.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel. Very clean, warm and comfortable room. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A quaint hotel close to the historic Port Arthur site. We were given a cosy 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we cooked the food we already had. Great service from the reception staff. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. I would definitely stay there again. No hesitation in recommending this budget hotel for accommodation.
