Niramaya Villas and Spa

This experience well exceeded our expectations…luxurious, spacious, beautifully presented villas, loved our private plunge pool, staff professional and helpful, grounds to explore were well maintained and magnificent..loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

We recently visited Niramaya with our children and their adult partners for a relaxing family getaway. It was Easter so it was a busy time but as the resort is so spacious, it felt quiet and peaceful. The massive grounds and gardens are truly spectacular and meticulously cared for. It feels like a tropical oasis. Our 3 bedroom deluxe Villa was perfect for our extended family and well maintained. The restaurant was really fabulous. It had a good choice of healthy, generous meals which were reasonably priced. What blew us away the most was the customer service. We had an issue with the hot water in our unit and the team went over and above to not only fix it but to compensate us for the inconvenience. This level of service is unheard of these days. For this alone, we will be back and we would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a tropical feel resort.

We stayed last week at one of the villas. It was a great experience. We had a three bedroom villa with a private pool. We loved having a large living room area and full kitchen to be able to stay for dinner on the nights we were too tired to go out after having been sightseeing. Everything was new and well kept. We stayed 5 nights so we got a cleaning in the middle of our stay. I would highly recommend specially given how dated most of the resorts in Port Douglas seem to be.

Services were limited due to a storm several weeks before. I was assured that everything was normal, but it wasn’t. No water for 2 days, couldn’t flush toilets, take showers, etc. Craig Rushton, Mgr didn’t handle the situation correctly! Do not recommend it!

It was a truly wonderful stay all around. The villa was absolutely beautiful! The ground were stunning. Our kids loved every minute of the resort and it was their favorite place we stayed at on our trip! The front desk was so helpful and accommodating. We hope to come back!

My wife and I recently had a week at the Niramaya Villas and Spa for our wedding anniversary in a fully enclosed, private secure 3 bedroom deluxe villa. The staff were exceptional .Check in was very smooth with all our questions fully covered. A staff member then came to our villa to explain the ins and outs of how everything worked. The whole experience was way above expectations and the staff were forever obliging and helpful, to the extent that we were given a bottle of champagne and chocolates for our anniversary. The garden and grounds are very spacious around the villas. These areas are kept in a pristine condition. It took us a few days to realize that there is always the sound of running water around you at Niramaya in your villas plunge pool and your courtyard fountains which actually relaxes you and enhances the overall experience. There was also an abundance of birdlife within the grounds of the resort. Wi fi was always pretty good, but sometimes the TV reception was a little sketchy. We found the restaurant food and service excellent, with a distinctive asian flavour and also enjoyed a few cocktails from the bar. Room service was also available. We really appreciated having a full sized double garage attached to our villa , which enabled us to park under cover and only need to walk a dozen steps to our living area. This was also great for the easy packing and unpacking of suit cases upon arrival and departure. Based upon our many years of overseas travel staying in 5 star resorts, Niramaya Villas and Spa is now right at the top of our list, without the need for a long haul flight.

Wow! This place was unlike any other. Perfect location. Our Villa had ALL of the necessities you could possibly need. From cooking in the kitchen, to barbecuing on the deck, to relaxing in the pool with friends. It was CLEAN and gorgeous. The plants and flowers alone were stunning. We played a "flower hunt" game with the kids. The open concept was perfect for morning yoga and stretches, followed by dance parties. On one of the mornings we walked to Four Mile Beach to sit and watch the sunrise - it was stunning. I would recommend this property to anyone!

It’s a overpriced air bnb.. as Someone that comes from overseas, the villas don’t come with a phone so you can’t get in touch with reception etc. If you don’t have a car, you have to pay for a shuttle into town. For the prices you charge you should offer complimentary shuttle. The massages and facials were wonderful, the breakfast was disappointing, don’t even have freshly squeeze juice available. Make sure you pre book your breakfast as we weren’t told and then it was “booked out”, totally understaffed as well. On the website it should say in BOLD that it’s self contained and mention that no housekeeping is there unless you stay longer than 5 nights. We also ordered 2 pina coladas which were $55 with a $10 delivery fee from the bar.. which is outrageous.

Fabulous stay and absolutely loved the restaurant. Food was stunning and well priced compared to the top restaurants in PD. Highly recommended. Staff and facilities are best we’ve experienced and definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Port Douglas
