A short walk down a slope to the Ela beachfront and a good restaurant and bakery. The hotel is ok, but furniture, sheets, and mattresses are old and 'tired'. Staff is really friendly. Pool area nice. Check-in a bit frustrating as they couldn't find our reservation - eventually sorted out.

Very good & highly efficient. Friendly with good service and would recommend for no-nonsense travellers/ customers. The only thing would be to improve the check-out process with regards to efficiency.

The stay in crown hotel is quite good comparing to the similar price of hotels in Port Moresby. Reception guys are nice and effective. Food there are acceptable.

Enjoyed my stay accept the air-conditioning was not effective.

Had to wait for 3 hours for a room. Worse service ever

Arrival was late in evening and airport pick up was very much appreciated . 24 hour room service also convenient and efficient . Had a delightful Caesar Salad and the reasonable price of 50PGK ($14USD). Fresh lettuce and good freshly cooked bacon pieces. Alarm set for 5am by hotel and again transport to the airport. Bath great with plenty hot water and beds very comfortable .Pleasant staff and helpful with quick response to tv query and Porter to room on arrival . Would stay again and definitely recommend for other travelers . Restaurant open till 10pm .

The overall service awareness of hotels in Papua New Guinea is poor. The hotel staff are lazy and have no awareness of serving guests. This is a five-star hotel, but it is far from international standards and the facilities are outdated. The country has poor public security. If you choose to stay in a star hotel, the public security will be relatively better. The hotel has a service to send guests to the airport, but the hotel driver has no sense of time, which will cause guests to miss the plane. It is better to take a taxi to the airport by yourself.
