As soon as we entered the property we could see it was a dirty, unwelcoming place. No one at reception to check us in, it actually looked like a dumping ground behind the desk, carpet old and dirty. Rang the bell several times (don't think it worked) we waited for 10 minutes, still no one arrived. We left to go and have a few drinks before returning later in the evening. Still no one at reception, so we walked through the dark noisy bar to find someone to help. Two men behind the bar told us they had no booking for us, and said we had probably booked through a dodgy website that takes money but no booking and should have phoned the night before to confirm booking ( I thought the idea booking online was to cut out calls) I said I paid through PayPal and I would log on to find out where the payment had gone to. Before I could even swipe my phone to open, my booking suddunly appeared on their system. The bloke that was on the computer just walked off without saying anything the other continued to serve people drinks and we just stood there. After a short wait the one behind the bar said are you waiting for your key? Really odd!! We were shown to our room . Room was awful, walls paper thin, we could hear a kettle boil , phone vibrating with alarm going off next door (actually thought it was in our room). Strange small locked door inside our room that was a fire exit, I could hear someone on the other side (wierd) . Walls were dirty, carpet grotty and there was one curtain up at the window. No curtains in bathroom, this was a pain as the bathroom door was glass so the sun glared through into the bedroom very early in the morning. Toilet made an horrific sound when flushed, must be heard throughout the whole building. Music down stairs went on till 1.30 in the morning, you can hear people outside coming and going, shouting so unable to keep window open. After that, there was silence until 5.30. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in and DEFINITELY won't return.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Hands down the worst place we have ever had the misfortune of seeing! Was so disgusted with the place that we decided not to stay the night! Room dirty, bathroom mouldy and floor felt like it was going to cave in. No towels in room. Staff who showed us to room very unprofessional and stated " don't expect the hilton as this ain't it". The list of negatives are endless! The only positive thing about our stay was not staying there!

Shock is an understatement. After booking in and taking bags to our room on Saturday, I. Decided to take my daughter for a walk to the beach. I hadn't gone far when I realised I'd forgot my purse. To my shock when approaching my room the owner was just coming out of my room with my daughter's knickers in his hand. After a heated exchange of words me and my daughter left the hotel immediately. I have reported this to the police. Please do not take your children to this hotel.

Absolutely disgusting place. Walked through door the carpet was filthy went to check in and the manager is the most rude person we have ever met. Eventually got the keys to room was not even shown to room. Walked into room and the smell was disgusting. Looked in bathroom and the first thing you noticed was toilet brush full of faeces, shower curtain stained with god only knows. Closed bathroom door and someone had punched a hole in it. Walked straight out and found another hotel to stay. If it was a cheap hotel understandable but we paid £94 for one night.

We booked as a party of 8 for a 60th birthday.Arrived at 3.45pm checking in was supposed to be 4pm..Only 1 room was ready we could have the keys for that and wait..we didn't mind waiting until4pm..At 4.45pm the rooms were still not ready..We went out and left all belongings in1room.Paid for all rooms on arrival..Got back to hotel given the other room keys.2 staff and 1 barmaid running the whole hotel!!..No cook,no cleaner,no receptionist. Went to bed rooms were acceptable but not clean..Toilet seat broke, stained carpet, used face masks left on floor in corner, the only good thing was fresh bedding..Got up at 8.30am for breakfast All downstairs facilities locked..Rang the hotel.owner answered from bed it's too early to ring me..!We paid for bed and breakfast! He unashamedly told us if we wait until 11am we can have tea and toast . We therefore walked into town and paid for a breakfast in a wonderful cafe..The owner is apparently new in the brentwood, he has no hospitality skills whatsoever. No manners,no staff and no idea how to cater for customers. SHOCKING..AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

We booked last minute and my god wish we hadn’t decided to stay here , the moment we walked in there was broken glass over floor good impression. The owner is very blunt and not welcoming at all , we arrived early and understood room wouldn’t be ready till 4 so left bags . Went back later to check in given Room 26 well we would have been better sleeping in the beach it was absolutely appalling we go away quite a lot and this place has got to be the dirtiest we have been to . There was karaoke on downstairs till 1.30am and we could still hear it 3 floors up , then to top it off we had a couple outside our room at 2am arguing and shouting. This hotel is suitable for a Hen or Stag weekend if you don’t mind roughing it . The owner needs to take a course in customer service his attitude is disgusting , there are much better hotels in the area don’t waste your money staying here .
