Park Hotel Napoleone

We stayed at the Park Hotel Napoleone over the weekend of June 27th to 29th. It's a 4-star hotel, but only for those on the first three floors, where all the doors are nice brown. On the fourth floor, the doors are white, like those in a hospital, and that already makes a difference. We were on the fourth floor, literally in a dovecote, under the roof, so much so that from the window I could see a nest of pigeons with their chicks. Outside, the temperature was 40 degrees Celsius. In the room, the air conditioner (if you can call it that) was pre-war. In reality, it was an old convector heater, placed under the window, which wouldn't cool the room even after 10 years, and not in 10 minutes as we were told at reception. Sleeping inside was 40 degrees Celsius, too. My group had four rooms, and in each of them there was something wrong: some had the refrigerator (which, like the air conditioner, didn't cool), some the curtains that wouldn't close, etc. In my room, the shower faucet didn't work. It took half an hour to keep the water from being either freezing or scalding. The shower stall had to be removed because it was so small (even getting in was a problem), otherwise you'd find yourself under freezing or boiling water. The best part was that once the faucet was fixed, it worked on its own. Let's leave aside the cracks in the walls, a single extra pillow, not even wrapped in cellophane, broken bathroom tiles, dated furniture, a few cobwebs, towels that wouldn't dry, and power cords tangled with slippers and double plugs. (I won't post photos out of respect.) But the most shameful thing was that they brought me a BEGINNING OF TOILET PAPER ROLL, used in some other bathroom. I immediately complained to reception, and they apologized, but said they usually bring used rolls to the beach bathrooms. (I think this is also not very hygienic) Anyway, it's fine, but not in the bathroom of a 4-star hotel room, I won't accept that. NEVER AGAIN in this hotel.

Certainly beautiful, yes, Napoleon's times, I would say it needs to be reviewed, dilapidated, kindness from the staff but the hotel absolutely needs to be renovated, it feels like being in the 80s. Convenient to reach the most popular destinations but please renovate
