Fabulous hotel Won quite a few awards Great staff especially Ian and Elissa Food simply outstanding Only six rooms we weren't staying there as we were self catering but got 20 % discount as part of our stay if we dined at this hotel You will not be disappointed Amazing sunsets

Had dinner here absolutely delicious sunning views staff were very efficient and friendly we have been here several times and it never disappoints hubby had Pizzi and I had pasta couldn’t recommend this place highly enough will definitely be back

Would not recommend. Overpriced food. Below average. Waste of money. Menu stated a choice from a selection of meats for the roast dinner. We arrived at 1:30 to be told it was gammon on the menu - disappointing! Carbonara was greasy - couldn’t eat it. Scampi and chips average. Beef Stroganoff - very small portion for £24.50 - very overpriced. Young girls who served us were friendly and polite. Manager avoided us and did not apologise about quality of food, instead got the young girls to deal with the complaint. Very unprofessional!

Wow. Firstly what a view of the sea, amazing. We went for lunch, staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good, well presented, tasty and as described on the menu. The raspberry sundae was gorgeous and the cheeseboard excellent. Drinks, both soft and alcoholic were presented so well. This place is like a breath of fresh air. Absolutely spotless and with great quirky bits. Decor is surprising and interesting. We booked to visit again and would heartily recommend.

Dined here and the food was very poor. Table next to us complained and got a partial refund. So did we and we got a partial refund too. Waitress's were good. Not much left to say. I have ate in here twice before and there were no problems. It's a lovely hotel.

Went for evening meal. I last was at the hotel 15 years ago, i.usually frequent the harbour pubs over my many visits. My mistake!! , the Mount Stewart is the best pub/hotel in portpatrick. Decor is excellent and clean. Food and alcohol prices are reasonable and comparable to other pubs. Views are fantastic. Food quality is a cut above other venues, especially the quality of the jus/sauces. Food is cooked perfectly. I wasnt going to come back to Portpatrick as I have relocated, but the Mount Stewart hotel might be a factor in making my longer trip worthwhile. Thanks.

What a wonderful find this hotel is. Very boutique and classy with great service and very attentive staff. The bar has a good vibe with nice music. We had the surf on turf which was delicious. Our room was perfect we had the Cameron room Only fault would be it’s up a slight hill and I’m not the best on my feet but the view is worth it There are some other lovely bars too

Called in for lunch , not your traditional Scottish feel to this hotel , void of any warmth or atmosphere. Was told lunch didn’t start until 12:30 even though advertised from midday, so ordered a coffee whilst we waited . The cutlery given with the coffee and on the table was literally covered with a thick greasy black film , this was pointed out to the waiter who begrudgingly replaced it without an apology. Due to the filthy state of the cutlery and the none caring nature of the staff we moved on to eat else where . The local cafe was a far superior , welcoming and friendly place to dine

Lovely boutique hotel, friendly staff , stunning views . Reception was friendly and helpful. We upgraded our room when we arrived. Which gave us a bigger room with stunning Portpatrick views. Very well equipped, with king size bed, sofa, table and chairs. Great stay,
