Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays Reviews

Location of the hotel is great! It's inside Gunwharf Quays outlet which makes dining and shopping pretty convenient. Quite unfortunate that air-conditioning was not working during my stay, which makes the room stifling. Got 10% off for most of the restaurants and shops inside the outlet as a holiday inn guest.

Hotel is good but AC no work my family is now happy I will pay to much

On arrival we were told the Aircon wasn't working in that room although we booked back in May, we could the fan provided. We were in the 3rd top floor, lift wasn't working to bring us down to ground level either. Breakfast was chaotic as hotel full..not enough attention to detail in filling up food for guests. When we went to checkout the lady was quiet abrupt. Have stayed here twice before but can't say was impressed this time with staff attitude on arrival no apologies for Aircon inconvenience not even told about the lift as we were staying on 3rd Floor.

Great hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. The room was spacious and had two windows which opened. Air conditioning wasn't working in the entire hotel, so open windows were perfect. You also got a free bottle of water and a free ice cream! Location was excellent, close to shops, station, beach and attractions. We highly recommend this hotel.

The locations is perfect, the stuff at the reception is very helpful.

Good location, Good service, Good bed, Everything is good.

Very helpful staff: bags kept for us both on arrival and after we checked out. An extension lead was found for us. Comfortable room and beds; food adequate with a reasonable choice.

The hotel is super conveniently located. Train station, bus station, historic dockyard, spinnaker tower are all within walking distance.

The bed was moving constantly. Was on wheels with no breaks on. Very uncomfortable 2 night sleep. We was told to put towels under the bed to stop it moving. I suffer with a bad back as it is and barely slept a wink all weekend. Absolutely awful!

1/ room air conditioner is not cool and window unable to open for fresh air .... 2/ breakfast is 👍 3/ 10% discount for Gunwharf Quays Outlets (some of big brand is not included) 4/ 10% discount for Gunwharf Quays restaurants (but lunch set is not included)

It was good, really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the staff are really nice and the hotel is quiet and peaceful
