Premier Inn Portsmouth Dockyard

Our stay was so welcoming! We had our wedding night here, we were gifted some cookies, and bubbly by the hotel. Which was above and beyond. The cooked breakfast was just what we needed and the staff were so good with our 2 year old. I would highly recommend as they were the most affordable hotel in the area.

A great location a great hotel with very friendly staff, the bedrooms very clean with very quiet rooms for a great nights sleep, a very nice bar with a great selection of draught beers the restaurant is steakhouse the food was amazing with plenty on the menu to choose from And the breakfast is superb

Stayed in room 405 lovely nights sleep bed was soon comfy. I had a good view of the skyline and surrounding area was great to see the aircraft carrier. Bar and block did me a great steak I'm so glad I didn't skip dinner. Not sure why people are moaning I paid £67 for a fantastic sleep and some great food

So called premier room poorly equipped. Bathroom poorly equipped bath too high and no hand rails to help users to enter or exit the bath, no non slip on bath base my wife bruised her leg trying to exit the bath. Nowhere for soap etc in bath area. No thought given to customer safety in bathroom. No fresh air in room or bathroom extractor not working. Dirty cups supplied. Very basic amenities supplied more liking to a hostel than the claimed “5 star service” and cost.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions as it is the closest to the ferry port and we have always been very satisfied. However, we booked for the night of 16th April prior to a trip to France and were horrified to find that the toilet in the bathroom had not been cleaned and had dried urine on the seat. We had to ask twice for it to be cleaned. We had also booked for our return on the night of 24th and, after travelling, were looking forward to a hot shower the following morning. This was not to be as we discovered that there was no hot water at all. Obviously, we pointed this out when checking out. The member of staff offered no apology whatsoever simply saying oh yes a number of rooms have no hot water but the reason is unknown. Very disappointing both nights. We will find an alternative hotel on our next trip.
