Bear Trail Lodge - Potter County Vacation Home

This place has so much provided…this is our 2nd time renting for our annual Christmas trip. Last year there were no Christmas decorations and this year there was. Very great to know a host listens.

The one lock was broken, I didnt want it charged to us so I notified owner upon arrival. He was aware. But the home wasnt secure for them or us. Toilet seats, one side broken on both toilets on first floor. We are older and almost fell twice. The microwave door handle had hard dried dirt on it from previous renter, I cleaned it because I didn’t want that to be blamed on me.Beautiful home and property. We were very comfortable, the owners thought of everything. Quite a lot of rules, more than other VRBO properties we've stayed at. Like most places you run dishwasher upon leaving, here you had to empty dishwasher too. You were supposed to wash your towels before leaving. Never has an owner asked that of us before. Just feel they expected a lot of renter cleaning.I never felt fully at rest with the outside door lock broken and was afraid to fully use the house.

This is place is absolutely amazing! It is very accommodating for all ages. The cabin was spotless and had all the needed amenities needed for the stay. The owner was quick to respond to a few questions we had before arriving. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

The lodge was even better in person. Very picturesque and very clean, and quiet. The lodge had everything you could need and the host was very responsive to any questions and was very pleasant and thoughtful. Perfect spot for our small Wedding under the stars! Just gorgeous with stunning views of the night sky.

Beautiful, quiet property. The grounds were well kept, in the same manner that you’d see at a resort. The lodge was very large, with a huge finished basement. Comfortable living room furniture, and a large kitchen with everything you need to cook during your stay. The wrap around porch had plenty of seating and table space, both in the front and back. We also used a large grille on the back porch to make breakfast and dinner. We were there during the summer, so the fireplace wasn’t needed. But I can imagine how cozy the lodge must be when it’s snowing. About a 20 minute drive to Cherry Springs park, although the sky & stars were excellent on-premises as well. We live in eastern Pennsylvania, and forgot that there are elk in the western part of the state. One walked right up past the lodge while we were sitting on the porch. While it is a beautiful lodge, please note that it is a fully provisioned home with electricity\fridge\freezer\heat\water\plumbing\full kitchen\WiFi\etc.

Very nice cabin and property very quiet and wildlife are abundant. We enjoyed our stay very much . We saw plenty of black bear some deer one bull elk. We would recommend this place and would stay again. Thanks Sam for providing this opportunity.

Peaceful and Exceeded Expectations Rental process was very easy and the property Manager responded to emails quickly to address any issues or concerns. The property was well equipped for a comfortable stay. During our stay, we saw bears, Bull Elk, fox, Skunk, several Deer, an Eagle, numerous other smaller animals, and enjoyed the sea of stars in the night sky. We visited the Austin Dam, an Amish Auction and the Stevenson Dam. Thank again!

Great Getaway We had an amazing time staying at this house! It was the perfect getaway with friends—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning night skies. The house was was clean, and everything was in working order, making our stay hassle-free. We’re already planning our next trip back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.
