We made reservation via *********** for a kingsize bed. I even mailed with the reception to make sure we got a kingsize bed. Their response was that it was "confirmed". When arrived, we realised they gave us 2 seperate beds. I never experienced these lies and bad service in all the hotels I have visited in my life. I gave 2 points only because of the location. The location is excellent, all the rest is at extremely poor level. Breakfast was also very bad. Coffee from a can and some yoghurt or an egg or bread. Also fruit juice was available. But let's be clear, the breakfast is nowhere near worth the price you pay for it.

We stayed for a few nights to visit the city, I wanted something as close as possible to the main square and for a reasonable price. The price of the room was not cheap but considering the location I accept it. Check-in was smooth, the lady at the reception was nice, the room was average but again it was functionable, the shower was rubbish, small and it was not easy to shower well. There is no iron in the hotel and some of the staff don't seem to be too happy there. Breakfast was a bad experience, it was included but serving "hot food" stone cold two days in a row, that's bad. Anyway I wouldn't stay again. The hotel has a hope but some love is needed.

I liked only the location Overal, it was horrible. 1. I ordered accommodation for €599, I chose payment at the hotel. The hotel charged us €36 more, so I paid €635!! We complained at the reception, where the receptionist (blonde) was very arrogant and rude . They referred to the Czech exchange rate and that booking is deducting their money and that it happens everywhere, but it has never happened to me in any hotel (neither in Prague nor elsewhere abroad). A lot of people from other companies also complained about the price hike, so at least don't lie to people's faces that it's the booking's fault!! changing the exchange rate will make the price maybe 2-5€ higher for 599€ and not 36€!!!! On the phone with the hotel manager, also very rude and selfish lady. Excuses, no apology, no compensation, they said they will not refund our money! Horrible, this is just a scam. At the end of our stay, they told us that payment in euros would have been cheaper than in Czech crowns and that they inform every guest about this. This is not true at all: first of all, I paid by card, so they charge the amount themselves!!! And secondly, no one told us about this strange move! 2. Unprepared room. I ordered a room for four people, we got one large double bed and one small bed, so for three people. There were also three glasses in the room. At least it was resolved when we contacted the reception 3. Weak breakfast, only few pastry, only ham and cheese and yoghurt..so we were hungry. Sometimes there is a lack of milk for coffee and plates, not enough places to sit. And we didn't get there late at all, but at 9 (Breakfast is from 8-10 a.m.) 4. Staff - reception. Horror, they barely responded to any of our complaints and did not try to resolve the situation, we did not receive an apology, they still lie to our faces along with the manager. A receptionist with blond hair should especially remember herself and study the basics of ethics and learn to say Hi and Bye :) 5. Poorly cleaned rooms - it could have been better, they only changed the toilet paper, towels and made the bed, but the floor was still dirty. AVOID THIS HOTEL

excelent location and nothing else. old hotel, front desk people are very rude, not willing to help, not finding solutions as a 3- star hotel requires, they dont have a customer oriented attitude at all. Breakfast was fine, kitchen staff has an unfriendly attittude ( they dont have warm milk, when i ask for it for my baby, I was told that they couldnt do it because the chef was not thre) except from Magdalena who is lovely. During 5 nights we stayed there, soap and shampoo were not replenish even when we ask it. They offer a taxi service from/to Praha hln for 30 euros, which is ridicoluos being the distance is a 15 minute walk. The taxi to the airport costs 40 euros but as we have a baby, in the last minute (literrally), we were told that the price was 50 euros and we only can pay it by cash. I wouldnot stay in this hotel again, I do not recomend it at all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, spacious, well-equipped and we lucked out and had a terrace right off our room. The Astronomical Clock was a two minute walk away, and the Charles Bridge was less than ten. We thoroughly recommend the Hotel Dar for a family stay.

Absolutely great location. When wandering about the city it was easy to get lost. All you had to ask is where is the astronomical clock and you were back at the hotel.

Muy bien situado. En el centro. Zona peatonal, no accesible en coche. A 1 minuto del reloj astronómico, literal. Estuvimos en un apartamento familiar con dos habitaciones y terraza (esta sin vistas). Limpio y funcional. El desayuno tipo buffet, correcto. Muy bien calidad/precio
