The location is great — peaceful, but still close to shops, restaurants, and places to visit on the island. "Paradise Sun is set in a beautiful location right on the beach. The setting and views are magical. We spent 4 days here walking along the beach and relaxing in the sun. However the staff are not very welcoming or helpful. The food is average but they had a lovely salad bar. We wanted to snorkel but they charged us 120 Euros to go out to a close spot 2 minutes away for a hour’s snorkelling. No snorkelling from the beach. The guy in charge of activities was very unhelpful. A pity as this resort could be 4 **** but it’s not Rob and Claire"

"This place has the makings of being a really nice place to stay, however misses the bar in several ways. The wifi is terrible and expensive. Even after paying the high rate, it was unusable. I get connectivity can be difficult on Praslin, maybe not charging for substandard things would be a good choice. The restaurant charged double for drinks compared to what was available in town, and didn't include anything without charging, including water. ($9 USD for a bottle of water is crazy) We ended up walking to the mini-mart nearby and stocking up on gallons of water we kept in our room. We did the same with beer & wine. The food was average, after a few meals we were no longer interested in their offerings and found interesting places to eat instead. The grounds were kept clean, except for the beach. To go beyond average, they should clean the beach daily. It's would not be a huge effort to rake it clean when the tide is low. Other hotels along the same beach did a much better job in this, noted as we walked it one day. The staff was indifferent on the issues, but the worst experience with them was the checkout, in which they insisted we pay the Seychelles taxes in cash. This wouldn't be an issue if they had an ATM on site instead of being a 40 minute round trip walk on a busy road. They made no attempts to solve this self-imposed problem. Being an average hotel is one thing, being an average hotel in the Seychelles is another. It's an expensive trip, the last thing travelers want is to be nickel and dimed at their lodging. I wouldn't say don't stay here, but I would say lower your expectations if you do."

"From the moment you arrive at Villas des Alizés, you're immersed in a paradisiacal setting: palm trees, a swimming pool, colorful decorations, wooden curtains, and a fine sandy beach with sun loungers... It's magnificent! The room is a bit small but very nicely decorated. There wasn't a kitchenette, but an excellent takeaway with great prices (especially considering the generous portions!) is just across the street. Direct access to Grande Anse beach is a real bonus: this vast bay was practically deserted during our stay. Located near the airport and a bus stop served by three lines (tickets are also available at the mini-market just across the street), we were able to visit all the sites we wanted without taking a taxi, thanks to the helpful directions from the accommodation manager. Our stay was completely relaxing, and organizing our departure (due to a late flight) was easy and stress-free (shower available after check-out, taxi reservations, etc.)."

"We stayed in Villa Adam for a week, it is an extremely spacious villa with beautiful sea views. The whole property, inside and out was immaculate. What really made our stay though was the lovely people who run the place. Aylin, Anoushka and Chiran welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. They often gave us fruits or little edible treats. They also cooked us dinner 3 nights which consisted of salads, a chicken dish, a whole fish and a desert. All for 25 euros per person. The fish, which Chiran cooked on the BBQ, was some of the best we had in the 3 weeks we were in the Seychelles. It was all served beautifully in the garden of the villa. So relaxing. A great place to stay."

"Great location with its own little beach and within walking distance to multiple fantastic restaurants. The rooms were immaculate and clean with great facilities and a well equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfy. The seaview rooms are great and the view is stunning! Terese is extremely friendly, provides a great service and has great local knowledge being Seychelloise. We felt nothing was too much hassle to ask. We really enjoyed our time here and are hoping to return next year!"

"I honestly cannot recommend Yasad Luxury Residence highly enough. What started as a holiday became unexpectedly stressful when my passport was stolen, but staying here turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made. Nora, the hostess, was absolutely incredible. She went far beyond what I could ever have expected from a host. She helped me organise appointments, arrange the necessary documents and navigate what was an extremely stressful situation. She was always available, incredibly kind and genuinely cared about helping me. Her support made a very difficult situation so much easier, and I will never forget the kindness she showed me. The accommodation itself was fantastic. The location is perfect — directly across from the beach, with restaurants, shops and attractions all within a quick drive. Everything you could want is right on your doorstep, while the apartment itself provides a lovely place to relax and unwind. To make it even easier, Nora arranged transport from the jetty to the accommodation no hassle at all! But what really makes this place special is the warmth and friendliness. Nora made us feel more like a friend than a guest, and I can honestly say this was one of the friendliest and most welcoming places I have ever stayed. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate — book it. The location is fantastic, the accommodation is excellent, and having a host like Nora is something truly special. Thank you so much, Nora, for everything you did for me. You went above and beyond, and I am incredibly grateful! 10/10 — I would absolutely stay here again."

"While they have a small beautiful pool, their customer service is really wanting. It was messy, we were given the wrong room, told to wait but we still ended up in a room we did not reserve. The room had no soap, had to wait till evening for the boss to bring soap. The receptionist who still acted as the cleaner seemed clueless and tired. Despite all that, there was no remorse shown. There is no privacy as the rooms are facing each other. Breakfast was not so good. All in all, we survived the night over some very sweet pizza from a nearby pizza place."

"Not noticed when booking, but the room is quite specific - a room without windows where the combined bedroom + bath + shower + toilet is located. And if you abandon the prejudice of such a combination, it may be quite possible, but the absence of windows makes the ceiling fan to be turned on and turns out as at the airport. According to the state of the equipment and furniture - everything is quite new, without the sloth. A few mosquitoes with which I and the spider fought. For us, it was the best price-quality ratio."

"This was our first time in the Seychelles and we have no comparison on this island. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The condition takes some getting used to. Very worn and due to the climate (see photos) it smells moldy. As there are a lot of mosquitoes, it doesn't help that there is a break in the door. The cushions on the beach loungers are moldy because nobody makes the effort to put them away (even though it rains at least once a day) (see photo). Unfortunately the beach is usually very dirty. Teatime offers cakes, sweetened iced tea, tea bags (but no black tea) and instant coffee. Dinner is good and appetizingly presented. Breakfast is very simple (1 type of cheese, 1 type of sausage), no variety of fruit, but egg dishes freshly prepared on request."

"Cote de mer is a very nice hotel. We stayed in a waterfront appartement with a nice terrace. It is very clean, nothing was missing, very friendly staff and a very good restaurant. We took halfboard and loved the fresh fish! The location is close to the water, 10 minutes by car to the ferry. It has a nice pool and access to the sea. We loved to be here!"

Right by the hotel is a lovely beach, although there are sometimes seaweeds, but just a 5-minute walk away is another beach that is clean. The breakfast was amazing and very delicious."

"Overall, this is a good place to stay, especially if you’re looking for a self-catering apartment. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout the stay. The apartment itself is clean, tidy, and well maintained, making it suitable for families or larger groups who prefer cooking their own meals. One of the biggest positives is the location right on Grand Anse Beach on Praslin’s south coast. While the beach is scenic, it’s important to note that it is not suitable for swimming or snorkelling. A grocery supermarket is within walking distance, which is very convenient, and there’s also a nearby bus stop. The main drawback is the location on the other side of the island. There are no major attractions or activities in this area, so getting around is essential. Having a self-drive rental car is almost a necessity — bus services are infrequent, especially on Sundays when there are only about 4–5 buses running the entire day. Taxis are quite expensive, nearly twice the cost compared to Mahé. If budget allows, I would suggest staying on or near Côte d’Or Beach, even if it’s slightly more expensive, as it offers better access to activities, dining, and overall convenience. This property is best recommended only if you have a rental car and specifically want a self-catered apartment in a quiet area."
