Lovely hotel. Located in the St James area. Close to sandy lane hotel. Its sister hotel the Treasure beach is next door. I was in room 374, beautiful spacious room with large balcony sea view. Mini bar is filled with drinks all complimentary. Bottle of sparkling wine, fruit plate and macaroons for arrival in room. Food overall was very good. Entertainment very nice. Staff were lovely. Shout out to Chantelle, Shontelle, Dennis, Mark. They were lovely. Enjoyed the water sports, paddle boarding, water skiing, kayaking, sailing. Ambiance of this hotel is great. No kids present during my stay, mostly over 50’s which I preferred as the atmosphere is perfect. All the couples we encountered were so friendly. We had the complementary 30 minute arrival massage a few days in, that was lovely. 1- At reception they have a bar code to scan for hotel activities. I think it would be better to have a leaflet detailing the daily activities. Either pick up from reception or in the room. 1 Would very much recommend this hotel. Peaceful luxury.

This will be a long review. Starting with management. Jason Jordan and Nadia Shockness are assets to this organization. From the time we arrived we felt appreciated and loved. Everything was in place to make our anniversary and my husband’s birthday an exceptional experience. The staff from housekeeping to food service displayed excellent service. The food was excellent. The surprises in our room were beautiful. Turn down service every night we stayed. As well as an extremely clean room. The amenities were really great. Stacy in the spa did an excellent job with our massages. Congratulations on a job well done.

The House is a wonderful boutique, Adults Only, all inclusive hotel with White Lotus vibes located on the desirable west/platinum coast of Barbados. The staff members were kind, friendly, and attentive. The pools were small, but refreshing. Snorkeling right off the beach was amazing the further you went away from shore. The bar kept drinks flowing. We went during the down (wet) season so there weren't many guests which was perfect for us. The only cons were the Italian restaurant on site was closed for major (demolished) renovations. In addition, four of the seven "sister" hotels that you can go to as part of the all inclusive benefits were also closed for renovations. The Bonvoy website did not mention these closures. One day we took the water taxi to the family friendly The Waves hotel (a sister hotel) for a few hours to ride jet skis and have drinks. We were very thankful we stayed at The House which is a more luxurious resort. The House is simply a fantastic place to stay while in Barbados!

Where to begin!!! My partner and I needed a get away, he booked The House Elegant because the reviews where the best of places we looked at. All I can say is it exceeded our expectations! Sheena!!!!! Sheena!!! Sheena!!! When you arrive ask for Sheena and give her a hug for me! Outstanding service, preferences she did not forget ( none of the staff did) Wade, Nadia, Agnes, Andrew just above and beyond. The good was consistent, delicious and seasoned well, which is very difficult to achieve in a resort with so many different palates from all over the world. The resort is clean, views are fabulous and the intimacy allows you the ability to get to know the other guests and relax. We will definitely be back, if I did not mention you. Know that we appreciate all the staff! Simply Chefs Kiss!

We stayed at The House, in June/early July 2025 for 10 nights and it was exactly the serene, boutique escape we’d hoped for. The resort is small but luxuriously curated, laid‑back elegance with champagne breakfasts, sunset canapés and plush loungers right by the sea. Our Ocean View Junior Suite had the most amazing king-sized bed, modern bathroom, minibar, coffee machine (we also asked for a kettle), iron & board, lots of power outlets and USB/C adapter, as well as a private balcony with wow‑worthy views. The room was spotless and housekeeping offered a thoughtful with a turn down service, ample towels and toiletries. . Food and drinks? Simply amazing. We loved the à‑la‑carte meals, especially the Saturday lunch BBQ, and all‑day bar access with delicious cocktails, especially the Veranda! Some nights there was also low-key musical entertainment over dinner. Although the storm damage has reduced the size of the beach there is still ample room for guests and more than enough sunbeds - no early owning towel run needed. Beach towels are freely available as well as sunbed drinks service, cold towels, fruit and treats. The sea itself was just perfect - take or hire snorkels & enjoy the abundant marine life just steps from the shore - and although entry to the sea immediately in front of the hotel is a little stoney, walk 15 seconds to the right for a sandy walk-in! Activities were plentiful yet low‑key: yoga, paddle‑boarding, small catamaran, spa treatments and the included 30‑minute jet‑lag massage. We also snagged a spot on the water taxi to check out the sister property, Waves, for a buffet lunch. The Treasure Beach hotel, just a 3 minute walk away, houses the gym we used and is the place to grab a book too. But it’s the staff who truly set this place apart - genuine, warm, attentive, and full of humour. We wont ‘shout-out’ anyone (for fear of missing someone) because they were all amazing & made us feel right at home. We haven’t seen the hotel before the refurbishment so can’t compare, however I will say its modern, stylish and comfortable, and Panda the cat is still here! There isn’t a lot to do in the immediate area however use a yellow bus ($3.50) & ride with the locals to Holetown, or visit Oistins on a Friday evening using the transfer organised by the hotel (pre-book). We pre-booked a tour at Mount *** rum distillery - worth a visit and you’ll get to see the island on the way too. Rating: 5 / 5 – We plan to return soon.

We booked a Junior suite for a week in early May. We arrived at lunchtime and warmly greeted by Anthony who was ever present by Reception. The room was already available for us which was really appreciated after a long flight from the UK. It was on the ground floor a short distance from Reception and opened directly out on to the pool and views beyond out to sea. It had obviously benefitted from the recent refurb and had everything you might require….air conditioning, lovely king size bed, coffee machine, well stocked fridge, free wifi and USB charging points. The food was simply exceptional……the usual self-service champagne breakfast, three course lunch and dinner. Dietary restrictions could usually be accommodated. A free bar operated all day and offered premium spirits, beers and a huge range of cocktails cheerfully served up by Devere, Wade and Denis. The waiting staff were fantastic without exception. Special thanks to Sheena, Agnes, Rico, Andrew and Heather…and others I have missed! The hotel was not fully occupied so there was no problem finding sunbeds and the modest pool was rarely used by more than a handful of people at any given time. Full marks to Kwesly who was always circulating to make sure you had drinks and lollipops! There is a water taxi which regularly runs between the House and two other hotels in the group…Treasure Beach about five minutes one way to the north and Waves, 20 mins to the south. Reception can book you into the restaurants at either and the water taxi stops at all three without booking…just stand on the beach! The beach in front of the hotel is relatively narrow and the sand quite hard on the feet as others have said. More adventurous folk were borrowing the hotel goggles etc and found some good snorkeling just offshore. On our last day we were able to keep our room until our taxi came at 15.00 instead of the normal 12.00…this meant we were able to make full use of our last day. There were some minor downsides during the stay. A digger working on the adjoining building site was creating some noise and disruption but this will be short lived once the works are complete. Rooms close to the central reception and dining area could be quite noisy from 6.00 am as staff arrived for work and started pushing trolleys around. The room doors would benefit from more sound proofing or ideally an extra internal door to create a lobby area. We did get some mosquito bites in the room at night but the cleaning staff then sprayed twice daily which fixed the problem. Overall though these are minor issues which did nothing to affect a fabulous stay.

We will be back! The service and people here- exceptional. From Wade and Deven at the bar (and everyone), Andy “Tupac” resident handyman and Jack of all trades, front desk staff, Richelle (amazing) Shalei at front, Anthony, Troy - Sheena and Alison, all the lovely servers, and - the egg lady Pat- who also does first aid (as needed) she is literally the sweetest human, literally everyone was amazing. I cannot say enough good things. We travel a lot, and WILL come back. So relaxing, so lovely and newly renovated! Walking distance from so many lovely spots- Sandy Cove, and the Cliff. We didn’t have time to try any of the included water activities but something fun to look forward to next time. When small things happen, you don’t need to ask or say a word, the staff are on it, and work to ensure you feel valued. Although the room was fabulous, rooms facing the ocean, food solid for an all inclusive, wine list solid for an all inclusive and great cocktails, the best part was the people. Hands down, the people. And of course the complimentary massage! Stacy/ amazing. Typically these massages that are comp’d at all inclusive are subpar, and they push add ons. The massage was so professional and relaxing. No added pressure to do anything more. But for sure, when I go back, we will spend more time in spa! Definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing pampered get away.

The minute we arrived at the house we was blown away by how stunning this hotel is , looking through the archway and seeing the sea is beautiful. Rooms have all been renovated and were brilliant , we chose an ocean view room which was worth the extra . From the management team to the omelette lady the workers truly make this place work . If you fancy being pampered this hotel is for you . A short walk up the road is Rihanna’s mansion and sandy lane hotel which is lovely for afternoon tea . On a negative note there is no restaurant ( positanos ) next to the house which holiday groups are advertising, beach is very small ( Mother Nature to blame I know ) The tamarind next door is being renovated but doesn’t impact your stay occasional noise . Even with these negative areas we had a super time infact our best holiday ever . Thankyou to all of you Jenny & Gary xx
