"We were so lucky to find (at the very last minute) this wonderful, super comfortable, and immaculately clean small hotel run by a warm and welcoming family! Our room with balcony and close sea view, was ample, with a luxurious, spacious and recently renovated windowed bathroom. The bath products were luxurious, biological and made in Italy. The bed and pillows were comfortable with beautiful linens. Air conditioning ran inaudibly and left the room crisp and cool. Breakfast was abundant, of high-quality, and had many options for people with intolerances and allergies. There were bicycles to rent and free parking. The hotel was situated just far enough from the center of Forte dei Marmi at the north end of Marina Di Pietrasanta to be tranquil, but close enough to be in the midst of all the activities. A rare find! We enjoyed it so much, that we came back —-twice! We will be back again!"

"Don't come if your family expect dinner - Ciocco may send you on a 45 mins drive! First the Positive : Great location Good modern rooms with excellent views Clean Negative: Service Checked in at 17.15 staff recommend to book in hotel restaurant (hotel 20 mins from nearest external restaurant) Booked 30 mins later for 21.00 and was told all is full despite hotel is far from full but due to non hotel bookings. Why do we book a remote hotel with restaurant to drive 45 mins to have Dinner ??? Zero will to accommodate dinner for ONE person! After dinner beware of The 4 km windy private mountain road to the Il Ciocco hotel with no lights, reflex markers or road markings and even no safety road defense in places. Check out time at 10 AM !! Better not sleep in while on holiday as you will be kicked out of bed!! Does not comply with 3 star conditions: No fridge in room but in public entry, No room phone, No desk Bathroom window straight to exterior passage with no curtain or frosted glass so nice sharing. When you book a MTB for 2 days no bike on the second day and no apologies for mistake. IN SHORT NICE FACILITIES BUT WHAT IS THAT WORTH IF YOU CANT HAVE DINNER BUT LOTS OF POOR SERVICE."

"We stayed at this place for the 2nd time (first time was right before the pandemic) and I should say that the hotel successfully keeps up to its standards. Rooms are clean and spacious, with almost everything you may need (except the iron). The SPA area is fine, but better go there around noon before the new wave of the guests arrives. Breakfasts are superb with a wide choice of hot dishes, pastry and drinks. That is really a great choice for Italy I'd say (sorry, Italy))) The hotel territory is well kept. The sandy beach is right across the road. The only minor thing which was a bit disturbing was the lack of toiletries. Nail kits, sewing kits and other things used to be available without any requests. Now you get the very basics and have to call if you need some extra. That's absolutely fine but.. feels like "let's cut the cost" sign :) But anyway, I loved the stay and will def be back some time."

"First time to Forte dei Marmi. Thrilled with our choice to stay at The Principe. It was flawless from beginning to end. The property will have you at hello. Contemporary chic at its best. Beautiful curb appeal, and when you pass through the door, it continues to impress with the interior decor and fabulous art. We were met by Nico, the manager at check in who surprised with an upgrade to a lovely Junior Suite. It was terrific. My bathroom was the size of a bedroom. In fact I kind of wish my bedroom was a little larger. But it was great overall. Full disclaimer, I think the rooms tend to run on the smaller side in general. So keep that in mid when booking. I would describe the decor of the accommodations as similar in feel to say the Edition in Miami. The pool area is beautifully done. Very chic. The beach club, Dalmazia has the same understated elegance. Food there was excellent with service to match. Our favorite spot was the rooftop bar. Sleek, sexy vibe with fabulous cocktails and views. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. A big thank you to the fabulous team at The Principe. Every single person we engaged with across the board was terrific. So professional and beyond warm and caring. Would love to come back!"

"This hotel was so nice and the price was so good, that I am almost reluctant to review it and "let the secret out". The room was very nice, made exceptional by the incredible view of the mountains behind Forte dei Marmi and the lovely balcony. I could have happily spent the entire day there. The hotel breakfast was wonderful, even by high Italian hotel standards. The hotel offers all sorts of options for things to do like bikes, a pool, and special meals. Down to a person, the staff were all friendly and helpful. They genuinely seemed happy that you were there. Finally all the details here (parking, checking in, checking out, etc.) were handled in a simple and unfussy manner that added to the strong sense of peace and serenity the place already exudes. I sincerely hope to return to this pleasant oasis, both the hotel and Forte dei Marmi itself, sometime soon."

"The noise from the bar across the street was unbearable all evening (music and shouting). The hotel refuses to do anything, claiming it's before midnight. Avoid this place at all costs; sleeping is impossible in these conditions, especially with no solution offered. It's unacceptable."

"First impression is somehow modest. Still, you get used to it and then you see that it is clean (I believe they are changing the sheets every other day), the staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is good, next to the beach (you would better choose Bagno Amore instead of what they recommend - even with the discount - Bagno Elisabetta - a bit cheaper and more space next to the water to play). If the weather is nice, the breakfast is on the roof (which is super nice). Some enhancements could be done: a more diversely breakfast, management could see some things that need to be addressed such as part self service breakfast to reduce frustration, shower space and shower hose not only shower head, extra space in the bathroom for toothbrush, nicer light fixtures and so on. All in all, the price is fair for what you get."

Check in durato 40 minuti con una receptionist lentissima, confusa e appanicata, nella hall non c'era aria condizionata quindi sono stati 40 minuti di terrore ...nella camera delle mie nipoti c'erano capelli nella doccia e peli, mancava l'acqua calda nelle docce, e c'erano addette alle pulizie chiassose e che piangevano nei corridoi.. mi sembrava di essere su Scherzi a Parte. "The hotel has only been open for two years. It has been wonderfully prepared. The facility mediates both in the general areas and in the rooms, those of a family house. All employees are very friendly and are committed to the well-being of the guests. There is a free shuttle service, which you can enjoy in the evening, for example, when you go out to eat. The possibility of eating in the hotel is also particularly noteworthy. Everything is prepared by an excellent cook with her team in the kitchen. The quality can absolutely compete with the upscale cuisine of some restaurants in Forte dei Marmi. It was an all-round successful experience to spend a week in this wonderful place."

"The hotel is located near Barga in Garfagnana, a very beautiful and less crowded part of Tuscany. The surroundings are truly stunning. The restaurants (outside the hotel) are great. However, the hotel itself was somewhat underwhelming. The rooms felt rather small. The outdoor pool is lovely but opens a bit late in the day. Unfortunately, the spa was quite disappointing. On top of the room rate, there’s a resort fee charged even if you don’t use the spa facilities. Understood that it is a resort but the total charge didn't feel justified. Overall, the hotel services fell short of expectations, and the front desk staff were not very helpful (for example when asked to book a restaurant). To conclude, there is room for improvement in such a nice setting!"
