The hotel is like a tribe, very beautiful, with its own area for growing vegetables and raising chickens, various restaurants of different styles, and various environmental scenes of different styles. A hotel especially suitable for rest.

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable experience at Su Gologone. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like valued guests, with their warm and attentive service truly standing out. The food was a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant, where the menu offered a wide array of Sardinian flavors. Each dish was crafted with care, showcasing the region's rich culinary traditions. The complimentary breakfast was equally impressive, featuring fresh, local ingredients and a variety of options. The amenities were top-tier, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing and luxurious stay. The beauty of the surroundings added to the magic of our time there, making it the perfect romantic getaway. We can't wait to return and experience Su Gologone's charm again. Highly recommended!.

We were so disappointed. We paid almost 500 Euros/night and the room looked like it was decorated in 1980. The furniture were out of date, the pillows were not comfortable, the room did not look the photos, it was dark and according to the description it should have sofa bed, there was no sofa in the room. When you pay this amount you expect good products in the bathroom… no conditioner, no body lotion etc.. Another thing… the food in the restaurants is so bad. I usually eat everything but the fish soup I ordered for lunch was disgusting. It was full of fish bones, a big piece of the spine of a fish, pieces that looked liked the intestines, four or five pieces of the shell from a cray fish with no meat in. The person who cooked this can not be a chef with an education. In the evening I tried chicken with cauliflower… the chicken was so dry that it was hard to swallow and it tasted like it was cooked the day before. The cauliflower was cooked way too long and was served in brown water, no spices and I couldn’t finnish the meal. Usually I do not complain and understand that things can go wrong but I got more and more annoyed because it is not worth the money. The mini golf court looked like no one cleaned it for 10 years. When we ordered sparkling wine in one of the bars the glases were still wet after being hand washed, the first morning the breakfast room was full of small flies. I could continue forever but I think you get the picture. I complained when we checked out but they couldn’t give me a discount because the boss was not there. They offered us un upgrade next year but we do not want to go back. The staff in the reception and the cleaners were very nice so absolutely no complaints about the staff. All I can say is that it is not worth the money

This is described as an Experience Hotel and that is a good description. Everywhere you go there are artworks and imaginative furnishings, so the place is full of colour. The hotel boasts an extensive breakfast on the terrace with a view of the mountains. I loved the restaurant with its large menu, from which one can pick and choose at one’s discretion. The room was a good size – really one and a half rooms, on level 1 of the main building. The shower was a quirky and barely manageable. The bed has plenty of character – almost a four poster! There is a coffee machine in the room. There is only a 48 hour laundry service available. I was frustrated by this quirky Italian thing of having two entirely different type of electrical sockets. The wi-fi unfortunately was erratic and quite weak in our room. Despite all the wonderful features of this hotel, I hesitate to give it a high score because it is not disability-friendly. There is no lift. As it is on a hillside, it has many levels and lots of steps or stairs. However it lacks handrails. And there are too many cobblestones to negotiate outside (but within the grounds of the hotel.) Most of these problems could be easily and cheaply remedied. I notice these complaints go back years with no sign of rectification. Maybe Italy doesn’t have disability discrimination legislation. Perhaps the owner does not wish to spoil the ambience?

Start with meeting the wonderful people , the Nona, the Mother and the beautiful granddaughter, Camilla, our first dinner we were guided by Camilla in ordering a regions very good wine. Raviolis to die for…I can’t believe I ate them all. All the food was delicious but the ravioli and the pan a cotta with berries were the best I’ve ever had! Now to the most important part, our suite! We had the artists suite which was charming. But wait, after you walk the length of the suite you come to a completely private fenced in area with a private pool , hammock and nice outdoor furniture. The view is spectacular! We have been to all 7 continents but this is one of the top 3 most lovely resorts! I forgot to say that there is a bed outside by the pool if you like to sleep outdoors! High sot of our trip. Highly recommend to any traveler.

We have never stayed at such a special, welcoming, elegant hotel. It is an artistic masterpiece and a loving museum of the family who built it. Su Gologone offers the very best of Sardinian culture and cuisine. It is walking distance to amazing natural springs (& 17th century church) and surrounded by the mystical limestone Supramonte mountains. But the people are at the heart of this hotel. Special thanks to Christian who kindly helped understand so much about this magical place. Also Pietro, the best restaurant host who looked after our needs every night. We will never forget this experience or it's people.

No words to describe our 4 days at Su Gologone! We chose this hotel because both of us (me and my husband) like to do always do different activities and it would have been very difficult to just spend 4 days by the pool (for us) This is the perfect place if you are interested in experiencing the REAL traditions, from wine tasting to ceramic courses, cooking classes, oil tasting… we managed to do the wine tasting and ceramic course and it was such a great experience! Maria (the ceramic teacher) such a beautiful person, i even got emotional when i left! We exchanged Instagram and we will definitely keep in touch!! The sommelier at wine tasting - super knowledgeable, great person too, very fun - that 1.5 hours just flew away! The dinner experiences are magical… every night, looking forward to try different themes and just gettin into different moods! The amazing man at Magico tablao (too cute) ,the very kind guys at the Aperitivo terrace, and some others that unfortunately I don’t know the names - ALL super welcoming, just so nice speaking to them everywhere we go! Lastly, the venue itself - super special place, in a beautiful mountain setting, amazing nature around you, pool area super relaxing… You can do trekking all around the mountains around the venue.. it’s just soo perfect! I can’t recommend this place enough! Very difficult to leave after these great 4 days We will definitely come back 🥹 Saluti da Isabel & Carl - stanza 83 😁

In the wild heart of Sardinia, surrounded by the mighty landscapes of Barbagia and the Supramonte, lies Su Gologone. Our basecamp to discover the region. This place is culture, it is family, ancient traditions, art, crafts, and genuine Sardinian cuisine. The most beautiful, authentic scenes and sets are created by the artist Giovanna. A Gem run by three generations of women: Pasqua, Giovanna and Camilla. Your husband, your dad, your grandfather Giuseppe “Peppeddu” Palimodde would be so proud of you! Thank you for keeping the good alive. Thank you Giovanna, Pasqua, Camilla, and your team of warm and caring people—Gianni, Massimo, Gabriella, Gonarina, Simona, Monica, Pietrina, Maria Lucia, Antonella, Assulta, Antoni, … — for your warm hospitality. See you next time. Un abbraccio grande Jack, Philip & Kelly

Stayed here for one night last week and really loved it. A great place to stay if you want to see some off the beat and track Sardinia while still staying in a wonderful hotel. Additionally scenery is spectacular. The one criticism I’d make is that the only steak on the menu is large enough to feed a family of 6 and I really hated the level of food waste after I ordered this steak to share with my mother.

This hotel is a destination. Luscious and well kept grounds. Many beautiful areas to sit and relax. stunning bar. The whole place is like a Sardinian ethnography museum set in a flower garden. That said, this is not a five-star hotel, so measure your expectations. If your need the latest upgraded bathroom, this place is not for you. But if you are looking for stunning views, incredible gardens, flowers galore, and authenticity, this is your place. I've stayed in some very fine hotels over the world, including 5-star hotels in Paris but I'll take this place over them any time and hope to be back some time. Highly recommended for people who love arts and authenticity.

My husband and I stayed three nights and had a fantastic experience! The hotel and grounds are beautifully situated near the Supramonte and filled with gorgeous flowers and décor. It was quiet and peaceful. The hospitality was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We utilized the tub and terrace each day. The food was delicious. We felt there were many options for food/drink, and also many areas to sit and relax. Our only feedback is there was a large bus tour group also staying at the hotel during our visit and they were noisy. This is not a reflection of the staff or hotel, but think visitors would appreciate limiting large groups to maintain the exclusivity and quiet nature of the hotel. We will definitely recommend this hotel and consider staying here again on a future trip!

It was a very rustic place! Flowers were beautiful! When we booked this the pictures were beautiful! We arrived and were very disappointed in the room and what it should have been like. We had soaking tub instead of a hot tub outdoors. This was the most expensive room of our trip and sure didn’t compare to all our other hotels we went to. Dining was another experience breakfast began at 8:00 am and everyone rushed in. I felt bad for the servers. We had the same experience for dinner everyone came at one time. That was our second night. Our first night we had a fabulous dinner outdoors in this beautiful environment! This was on the grounds. This lovely lady owned the venue and her daughter also worked there with other severs. She came around to all the tables to see how everything was. Several times. We were very impressed. Every part of this experience was elegant! At the end of the night she said there was a surprise. We went through these doors and there were young Sardinian men singing in a circle. They had beautiful voices. We were told that there aren’t too many of them left doing this. We listened while having dessert. This was an amazing experience!

After watching the series about “Blue Zone” Live up to 100 on Netflix, I decided to visit Sardania. When I was planning about this trip, I can across this hotel, and I must tell you, it was a lifetime experience. Simple hotel, but extraordinary service, food, activities. I must thank the owner Giovanna, whom you can see everywhere in kitchen, in reception, in housekeeping, in maintenance, she takes care of everything personally. There is beautiful art gallery of Giovanna herself, from where I bought some art. Gabriella and Margharita were excellent at reception, who helped me planning my 6 days itinerary. Margharita’s English was excellent which we rarely get to see in Italy. She is also well learned girl. Food was amazing, very local and tasty.

Beautiful location. Funky design. As in if Club Med married a hippie commune. Hotel needs to be redesigned and renovated to meet most guest expectations. Streamline, simplify and reduce the number of rooms from 70 to perhaps 24? The swimming pool was the hotel’s best feature. Large and long, gets great light all day. Again, beautiful location but needs a redo.

The hotel is unique for sure and you can read all that on other reviews. Maybe because it was off season… not as many experiences available. Dinner in the restaurant was just ok. Staff was not that friendly except for the front desk who doubled as check in check out and booked Tours. There did not seem to be a dedicated concierge desk. This place is popular with the active senior crowd.
