Hotel Raffaello - Self Check-in Free

Urbino|0.13km from city centre
Location in the truest sense of the word “top” – uphill and just below the fortress. In the middle of the historical city and only steps away from pretty much all the sights and places you want to visit. The view from the room picture-book pretty, the room itself spacious and nicely furnished. All the personnel - without an exception - professional, very friendly and always helpful – and the owner Giulio Lonzi repeatedly went over and above the call of duty. He gave helpful advice on parking - literally impossible inside the city walls, but with a weekly “minipass” for the multi-storey car park reasonably priced and so convenient. He even called us, when he thought we were a bit late in arriving, to check if we were ok, then directed us to the right ticket office and arranged for a taxi to pick us up (even though you can get a short-term permit to take your car to the hotel and back to drop your luggage, you really don’t want to tackle those steep narrow streets, believe me). When my wife sprained her ankle while on a day trip, he directed us to the nearest emergency room and picked us up later himself, when we were stranded without a taxi in sight and her totally incapable of more than hopping on one leg. He helped me to drag/carry her up the last few metres from his car to the hotel and up to the room and … believe it or not, he managed to conjure up a pair of crutches for her before we had even started to wonder if and where we could get some. He then provided us with addresses of restaurants that would deliver meals to the hotel. The man repeatedly solved our problems, before we even realized we had one. He finally spent ages to find a wonderful restaurant for my birthday dinner – on a Sunday in October at the nearby Adriatic coast when the season there had practically ended and most restaurants were closed … To put it in a nutshell – staying in the Raffaello is like staying with a friend … a good friend! Thank you Giulio! We’ll be back!

San Francesco Bedrooms
4.3/57 Reviews
The property is located in the heart of the historic center of Urbino, in a historic building, on the second floor served by a lift. The room I was given is really beautiful, very large with a frescoed ceiling. The bed comfortable enough. I appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, essential in times of Covid. Breakfast, included in the price, is in the pastry shop next to the entrance door. It has outdoor tables in a very pretty square. Very kind owners. The only advice that I allow myself to give to the owner is to review the noise of the air conditioner, essential in summer if you want to keep the windows closed so as not to hear the noises coming from the street and to also close the back of the shower (new like all sanitary ware) to prevent water from escaping.
Hotel Bellevue
4/547 Reviews
We spent just two weeks at Hotel Bellevue and will certainly come back. - Location: The location is genial. You are walking quickly in the old town and have a beautiful walk through the beach promenade to the port. The beach service is not included, but the team from Bea Beach is very friendly and helpful. - Eating: We only took breakfast. The buffet was not exceptional, but something for every taste. We would have been happy about more change. - Hygiene: The whole hotel seems very clean. The room was also well cleaned. (particularly after a small injury.) A more frequent wheel change (at least every 2 days) would be desirable. - Rooms: We had a room with a surcharge for the sea view. The room was really good for four people and the balcony also offered a lot of space. - Personal: The staff was always friendly and helpful. You felt welcome and well. In particular Greta and Matteo (the two animators) gave her the best and were happy to be seen by our children every day. - Critic: > We know the rooms are being reconstructed. At present they look really very, very old. Most of all, small things like: the soap cup, or the glass cord in the bathroom are so full of calcing spots. Here is an investment not big and would still let the room look even better. > Signature at the bar. This was not required anymore. In the overall bill, we then found in the car that and drinks that we definitely have not drunk were counted. (We once pointed out the lack of signature, the barman said that it was not necessary).
Hotel Maremonti

- No WiFi in any of the rooms. WiFi in the lobby is unstable. - Bed resembles a trampoline. - A lot of noise from the restaurant: chairs being dragged, and loud footsteps, starting very early in the morning. - Airconditioning in the room sounds like a waterfall also when switched off. - Not very clean. - Breakfast and dinner buffet: greasy, hardly any fresh vegetables, not suitable to vegetarians. - No swimming pool. If you want to go to a pool you have to buy a ticket to the pool of another hotel (Nord-Est). A day ticket costs 15 euro. If you just want to swim for an hour you pay 10 euro. - Furniture, especially in the lobby, is falling apart. - No fitness equipment. - The staff speaks limited/no English but is friendly and helpful.
Hotel Sans Souci
4.1/541 Reviews
Having read previous reviews on this hotel, I can thoroughly endorse them. It was a delight to spend 10 nights here recently. The hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble for them in ensuring that you are relaxed and happy. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and comfortable, with panoramic uninterupted views of the sea and golden sandy beach. Comfortable beds, mini bar, toiletries, TV and excellent WiFi. Mealtimes were a delight with so much choice of fresh delicious food all served with a smile by the delightful staff. The Maitre d' Lorenz works very hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly. During our stay there was a great fun music night and we also had the chance to watch from our balcony, a marriage taking place on the beautiful terrace below. The owners and reception team were always ready to help with any queries we had. The only downside was when, due to lack of availability for our last 4 nights we had to relocate to another so called 4 star hotel further down the road, called Grand Hotel Michelacci which was a totally different experience !!!! see my review on that. Thanks to all the staff at the Sans Souci for an unforgettable holiday 😊
Hotel Corallo
4/512 Reviews
Hotel Corallo is quite central on the seaside of Fano and almost in front of the lungomare. The hotel is slightly outdated with the rooms decor but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s like travelling into the typical seaside hotel of Italy’s ‘90s. Rooms are very clean and cleaned each day. Every room has a little balcony and 90% of rooms have a sea view. There’s a little pool on the roof. You have to use some outside stairs to reach them. So it lacks accessibility to some people. Breakfast is quite early, there’s a decent choice of food but it could use a little upgrade (fresh baked bread, toast bread, more lasctose free/vegan options). There’s no parking but you can park for free in the street in front of hotel and the one behind (not the lungomare). Usually you can find it. Overall, it’s a good value for money.
