Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana Resort

We have been in the Hotel second time and was very nice again. The service was very friendly and satisfying. The rooms a spacy and nice style with fantastic view to the habour. The Garage from the Hotel is simply amazing. Never had in another location. We appreciate always the advantage to have Hotel, Shops and Purobeach with Beach Club in one area which is great and easy. Special recommendation to all Restaurants in this area. Thanks and we will come back.

One of the worst experiences of my life! The reception staff at the beach were rude, unprofessional, and even swore when asked simple questions about the beach. I have never experienced such disrespect and lack of basic courtesy-especially not in a hospitality setting. The beach was dirty, the staff lazy, service extremely slow, and the food was both disgusting and overpriced (at the beach). Honestly, it's not worth even a tenth of what they charge. It's a disgrace for a resort that claims to be high-end. People have been complaining about the same issues for years, but clearly there's no will to improve anything. The location is beautiful and the accommodation is decent, but unfortunately that’s not enough to recommend this place. Sunbeds cost almost €600 for 5 days, yet identical (and equally uncomfortable) ones can be found just 150 meters away on the public beach, without the astronomical price tag. Also, even when you pay for the sunbeds on the beach, you can’t go to the pool, which is completely absurd. Then the thin dark woman at the beach reception (who claimed to be some kind of manager) told me in a rude, cynical tone: “You can sit in the café and look at the pool, but you can’t swim!” During our stay, the resort was almost empty, but the staff behaved as if that was exactly how they wanted it to be — the atmosphere felt uncomfortable, almost as if you had walked uninvited into someone’s home. I absolutely cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The location itself is absolutely beautiful — the surroundings, the architecture, and the overall atmosphere of the resort are truly stunning. It’s a place with great potential for a relaxing and luxurious stay. However, while the setting was impressive, our experience with the service — especially at the restaurant — was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted water. We said yes, but it never came. We received our food and wine, but still no water. I asked again and also ordered a Coke, but once again, nothing was brought. It took three separate requests before anything was finally served. After we finished our meal, we were completely ignored. No one asked if we wanted dessert, or even how the food was. I’ve traveled all over the world and have never experienced such poor service — I honestly feel like the service at McDonald’s is better.

This is a hotel that is part of a condominium development; the hotel is an afterthought, and the resort is built around a day use Beach Club and condo owners. Staff are mostly teenagers, and many seem more interested in sitting and chatting with friends than helping guests. Nobody enforces the adults only pool area (even though there's a kid pool). No Hotel guests are allowed to use one section of pool terrace far away from the premium spots and other pools reserved for the beach club and have limited sea access. (Of course, you only find this out as you're rudely booted to a different pool by a teenager since the other teens didn't bother to tell you where you're allowed to sit.) Hotel guests are crammed into one tiny pool regardless of vacancy at the beach club. The hotel restaurant wasn't open, and the hotel spa doesn't offer treatments, just the beach club restaurant and condo spa. It's really a bizarre set up for a luxury hotel, and I recommend going somewhere that the hotel guests are the actual focus of the property.
