If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, then this place deserves that. We walked into this hotel after noticing a peculiar heritage vibe from the outside as well. We walked in to he greeted by Riju with the warmest smile. Mind you, we only came in for an inquiry. We were treated like hotel guests already. Riju was sweet, kind, courteous and patient. Our first experience was at Mira, their in-house restaurant where we were taken care of really well. Murugan ***** with Sathya gave us an impeccable service. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Needless to say food was excellent. Coming to the hotel staff, kamali, Ashwili Rizwan and Santosh made sure our check in and check out was seamless. Hospitality was top notch and very professional. Mr. Riju and team gave us the best experience ever. So to say better than a 5 star experience. Probably the best place to stay in Pondicherry. Very commendable to see such impeccable hospitality at its best. Highly recommend to book a stay here. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Mr. Riju and team for making our stay a memorable one. We now know where to come when we visit Pondicherry

During checkin they make me wait for more half an hour time and didn’t asked me whether I need water or not, also I saw the review online that’s why booked this property but I was not at happy with the overall service. It’s not a value for money, very disappointed .

Easily the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. And what makes it the best is the service and the people. You are always greeted with sweetest smiles of Riju, Ashwini, Kamali, Rizwan, Murugan, Satya, Santhosh and the rest of the team throughout your stay. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the most comfortable and luxurious experience at Pondicherry. The food is absolutely delicious! It was our experience at the restaurant Mira in fact that encouraged us to extend our stay in Pondicherry and book rooms at The Grand Hotel. And the rooms were so exquisite with timeless colonial interiors. This is one of the most well maintained hotels I’ve ever stayed at. And this being a heritage property it has amenities and facilities far better than relatively newer 5 star hotels. Definitely recommend and cannot wait to visit again! Thank you again to everyone for this brilliant experience.

The hospitality provided by Mr. Riju, Mr. Murugan and the entire team was outstanding! They ensured that we were comfortable and we felt right at home. The rooms were spacious and very luxurious. The food in the restaurant was excellent too! Definitely one of the best stays in Pondicherry and 100 percent recommended!

Extremely good and picturesque setting. Service was excellent! Food is the best here! I highly recommend the hotel for couples as well as with family! The swimming pool was well maintained and kids can have a lot of space inside the room to explore. The balcony is worth mentioning due to the greenery around

Chic hotel with cool amenities especially the interior and the pool is worth the bill . Riju is a competent , helpful manager and made our stay comfortable . Highly recommended for a pleasurable and memorable stay . Don’t forget to try desserts at the resto .

I had stayed in Grand hotel D Europe but one of my horrible experience I had in this property. I have stayed many hotel but here the staffs are very rude and started doing arguing. I usually never give a negative review but this was really very disappointed and horrible experience. Just to request the management please brief the staffs, thought them some manner how to speak.

Excellent stay, decent food. We booked the spacious grand room, high ceilings, warm interiors and tiny cozy balcony with our white town street view. Indoor pool looked very calming, but we were too relaxed for a swim. Will definitely recommend for a getaway from daily hustle of life.
