The hotel is dated in parts and our room was a little tired although it was a superior room we overlooked wasteland and nort a sunny sea view we expected. However, the room was clean and the public areas spacious The staff were friendly and reception efficient

Couple ages 62/56. One week all inclusive+ January 2024. First visit to this hotel, which was recommended by our travel agent. Weather here in January can be varied. We had 17-22 degrees during our week, with some cloud some days. Hotel does some things very very well, but could improve on some things. Check in was quick and we were pleasantly surprised when we were told our room had been upgraded to a suite. The entrance is very large and grand, but as it sits on a hill, reception is on the third floor. Once you get the layout worked out, navigating around the hotel is reasonably easy. Our suite consisted of a living room with tv ( massive), bedroom (massive) with TV and bed (both massive). A walk-in wardrobe off the living area and a spa bath with shower in the bathroom . Mini bar with beer, wine and soft drinks and spirits all topped up daily. All very clean and functional, but silly things like 1980s sliding doors and blackout curtains that jam just before they fully block the sunlight just take the shine off. All inclusive+, gets a few benefits. Exclusive lounge, area in restaurant, 1 visit to a la carte and a very impressive selection of wine and spirits and mixers. Very unusual to get fever tree tonic on all inclusive. The buffet food for us was the biggest let down. Food choices were what most buffets supply, but only just warm. Standing waiting for fresh supplies coming out is not how I want to spend meal times. The wine however was superb. Our night at the a La carte wasn't much better. Food a little warmer, but not a great choice. The prestige lounge was excellent. All the drinks you could ever want, plus sandwiches and snacks. Even a PlayStation and some PCs. To sum up, room..good. sleep quality..good. drinks .. very good. Entertainment... good. Food..poor. Spa...good. And , if you can afford it, go prestige..... You won't regret it if you enjoy a drink.

Booked this hotel on Jet2 last minute for a weeks stay and we had a wonderful time. Having came to Lanzarote last October to Seaside Los Jameos All inclusive we decided to try the Costa Calero and had just an amazing time. The food at breakfast lunch and dinner is all to a very high standard especially the lunch which is perhaps the best all inclusive lunch buffet I’ve ever eaten. The entertainment most nights was okay but special mention to the Guitar Legends who were fantastic. The animation team are fab and put on great activities throughout the day. The pools are all very large however can be slightly cold for some even in 33 degrees. The spa is also fantastic and well worth a visit with a free circuit for All Inclusive guests and unlimited access for AI Prestige guests. The Superior sea view room we had was fabulous with an amazing view of the Puerto Calero marina and sea. The hotels free courtesy bus is also a neat addition to Puerto del Carmen which is a great trip out along with the other excursions that this amazing island has to offer. Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend it to everybody. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel who all work incredibly hard and we would definitely come back in a heartbeat.

We have just returned from a super holiday in Lanzarote we stayed in the all inclusive Costa Calero Thalasso& Spa. All of the staff were very helpful and always on top of their game. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was really good plenty of room comfortable bed and super walk in shower. Plenty of sunbeds and plenty of choice in where to sunbathe The restaurants were excellent and a choice of food to please most people We really enjoyed going to the piano bar and really recommend this bar We shall return D and M

This is a massive complex. As previous reviews have stated the whole area is kept immaculately clean. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and were pleased to do so, because to be honest, at peak times for breakfast it was a bit of a bun fight for the buffet. The food was ok, the usual choice, but as others have said, the hot items aren’t that warm. Plenty of good food to be had around the marina. The pool areas had plenty of places to sit around them, despite many guests seeming to camp out overnight to keep their favourite spot! On arrival we found that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. Seemed like a good thing at the time. Lovely sea view with a double balcony, and a large internal seating area, spacious bathroom, so all good. Very quickly we realised that the down side to this was that the room was located above a large plant room. The intrusive noise, droned on 24/7, 7 days a week and was overbearing both in the room and on the balcony. We had only just unpacked before we returned to reception to ask if they could offer us another room. They offered an alternative of a select double, the room we had originally booked. We went to look at it, but decided the suite was better despite the noise pollution. We were not totally happy but we were told that the hotel was full and no other rooms were available (despite rooms being turned over on a daily basis). So we put up with the noise. The room also had a door leading to an adjoining room, which was not an issue until new guests decided on watching breakfast TV at 7 am on a couple of mornings. It is no exaggeration to say that they woke me up and I could hear every single word loud and clear. I went to reception to complain about the room, not the guests, but reception was mobbed, so the moment passed, and I calmed down a bit! Thankfully the guests didn’t stay long but I can say that I would not have put up with any of these issues if I had paid full price for this room. You could say they called my bluff, but the whole thing has left me feeling a bit negative about the place.

We were allocated here on a business trip. The food was great the service from the staff was fantastic. Maria from the restaurant was amazing she catered to the groups needs ensured a speedy service but always ensured to say hello as we seen her throughout the hotel, She is an asset to the hotel. Rooms were clean and the hotel has plenty to do.

Beautiful, clean, hospitable, garden room but should have gone for Seaview . My friend had one and it was exceptional views of the grounds and sea especially at night. Breakfast lovely, busy at times Will return but for a better room next time.

We had an enjoyable week at the Costa Calero. We had a superior garden room, which was lovely and spacious, lots of wardrobe space and a big bathroom with a powerful shower. The patio had a table/chairs plus sun beds, which was handy for the late afternoon sun. The downside of our room was that we were in an interconnected room with another guest. The room was poorly insulated so we could hear their tv, wardrobes opening, the morning alarm going off. Not the fault of the guest, it was due to the design of the room/s. You also have to pay for the safe, which is unusual now, and for a 4* hotel I would expect this to be included. The pool/grassed areas have lots of space with plenty of beds. There is a pool with swimming lanes for the serious swimmers. You can have pool towels for a €10 deposit. We were in an all inclusive basis and there was plenty of choice for drinks including some branded spirits, bottle wine and freshly made cocktails. We also had 2 litres of bottled water left in our room each day. The food was fairly good with lots of choice, but at times not overly warm unless you chose something fresh off the grill. All inclusive guests have one complimentary trip to the spa which was a nice treat with a warm salt pool, sauna/steam room. The evening entertainment was mixed, some nights better than others, although the piano bar acts were all very good. The resort is very quiet, but it’s nice to wander around the harbour and village and take a 2 mile costal walk to Puerto Del Carmen or catch the free shuttle bus that runs 3 times a day. I would certainly recommend the hotel as it has a lot to offer with a relaxed atmosphere, but more popular with older guests in March.

A really nice hotel. The list of good features is very long. Can't think of anything to criticise. Great breakfasts (we did B&B). Lovely staff. Everything perfectly clean etc. And we had some excellent dinners in the marina that is a five minute walk away. We will return.
