Hotel Sun Holidays

I didn’t have high expectations, since it was so cheap (the room 307 for one person), but I want to be real and warn others: you getting what you paid for. No conditioner, just a loud fan. No toiletries or a wash cloth - just tiny packs of shampoo and a bath gel very poor quality. The mattress was super hard and had holes in it, and pillows were nasty with holes. The tiny bathtub was very hard to get in and out, because it was located in a narrow space between too walls. The water pressure was non-existing. The walls were paper-thin, and I was forced to listen my neighbors rated R activities. Also, in this small room for unknown me reason I had inside folded plastic table and a chair (I am guessing, they should be on a balcony). On a better side - the location was great, walking distance from the bus station, close to the beach, tons of restaurants around. The staff was very helpful.

The place is very central and nice. At the beginning there were some stains in the towels provided, but they got changed immediately when we flagged the issue. The staff was very polite.

I cannot find any negative about Sun Holidays Hotel. It's location, It's cleanliness, It's price.... everything is excellent..great value ....friendly reception.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sun Holidays. Simple but comfortable and very clean room with balcony. Excellent value for money. Very well located in a lovely area in town center: restaurants, shops, supermarket nearby. Quiet location. The big public parking by the sea is less than 5 minutes away, convenient when using rental car.

It might be cheap but it’s not worth it the shower is a dribble beds worn. Doesn’t feel safe big gap in the door I wouldn’t leave valuables in room. I know it’s only £30 a night but I would say it’s worth it to pay more for a nicer hotel

It was difficult to find reviews on this time share exchange property so, here’s a review. Check in for this timeshare is on the 4th floor, Aston Waikiki Banyan is on the first floor, off of Oahu Street. When you are in front of the Aston desk look to your right, about 75 feet down that corridor are the elevators to “Tower 1”. (To your left about 15 feet away are the elevators to “Tower 2”) Take the “Tower 1” elevators to the 4th floor, follow the signs. I arrived about 2 hours before checking time (4PM). I was advised, lower level rooms were available, other rooms, possibly those with ocean views, would be available later, if I wanted to comeback later. I returned later. The room 2710 was clean and the king bed was comfortable. I found no bugs during my stay at all. The furniture is older and the cabinets, carpets fixtures are all older, but clean and everything worked, stove, AC, refrigerator etc. I will stay here again for the following reasons: Location- I prefer this side of Waikiki Price - This timeshare, exchanged for the timeshare I own is equivalent and a good value for me, when pricing a weeks hotel stay in a hotel in the same area. Cleanliness - the room was clean, no bugs, no dirt on the carpet no mold in the shower no unidentified goo in the refrigerator (unlike my experience @ Marriott Maui North something- I haven’t reported that experience on Trip Advisor, but I will.) Staff were friendly and helpful. This property is owned by several entities and by individuals who live there, the elevators are heavily used. Elevator etiquette is always nice to share and experience.

Hotel Sun Holidays is a budget, no frills hotel. The rooms are comfortable but basic, a little shabby in places. However, this hotel is in a fantastic spot in the town near great restaurants and cafes. The nicer part of town we thought, with an easy walk to beach and Lido. The staff at the Hotel were lovely and responded to our query about a larger room straight away - thank you.

This hotel is well located in the old town with a number of good restaurants within a 5 min walk, and a cafe/bar around the corner for breakfast/lunch/drinks. The hotel itself is a bit tired. The carpet on the stairs is threadbare, some of the decoration had come off our bedroom wall and where someone had redecorated they had also got a *****e of paint on the mirror frame. Overall the place looks a little scruffy and unloved. More frustrating were small practical issues such as the shower holder being fixed at such an angle that the water would spray straight over the top of my head or straight into my partner’s face, and this could not be adjusted. Additionally my partner’s bedside light and the balcony light were not working. We tried moving another bulb to the bedside light but it continued not to work so it seemed that the fitting itself was broken. We intended to report this upon checking out but we forgot. I’m not sure whether it would have been fixable had we reported it during our stay. Finally, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are a light sleeper. The sound insulation both internally and externally is poor, so it can be quite noisy. Also the mattress is very firm so by the middle of the week I was quite achey and finding it difficult to sleep. Some positives though - the room was equipped with a powerful hairdryer and a fan heater, and reception provided a kettle when we asked. The little balcony was nice. We had a nice holiday overall.

The property is in a great location, walkable to everything. It is a little worn down, but clean and good value for staying just a few nights. There is a coffee vending machine in the lobby but no kettle in the room, just a small fridge.
