Went on a tour when we arrived at Puerto Madryn on a cruise ship. The drive out was interesting although it took about an hour mainly on gravel roads. The penguins were fabulous and the barbecue lunch was excellent. Rita, the guide, was charming with great humour. Would definitely recommend the trip. Identical to the ship's tour but half the price.

We met our guide at the end of the pier and enjoyed an informative drive to the lighthouse followed by a lovely hike amongst the Magellanic Penguins to the beach. Lunch was served at the estate and consisted of grilled Lamb, salads and delicious local wine. Excellent value and plenty of time to get back to the ship.

This feels like the most remote piece of beauty in Patagonia. Dreaming of going back to this beautiful gem. We went with our 2 year old and had an unforgettable trip. It is truly off the beaten path, there is nothing within 2 hours of the hotel - the food was homemade daily and snacks were provided. The tours provided the chance to see the wildlife up close. The rooms were understated, rustic, and perfect for the destination.

Stayed here to see the penguins. It’s a rustic bnb more so that hotel, but the rooms are comfortable and the food is good. Lara was wonderful coordinator and host and Eugenia was a great guide for visits to penguins and elephant seals. Would recommend a two night stay.

This is a must to get up close and personal to the penguins. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The included authentic lunch was great. We had plenty of time on the beach with the penguins. Truly a great excursion. We booked directly with el Pedral which was much less expensive than going through the cruise line.

We came here for lunch on our cruise excursion to see the penguins. We had such a great welcome and dining experience. The staff could not serve us enough delicious food and wine. I was really grateful when one of the staff ordered me an omelette when I declined the barbecue lamb and beef empanadas (I am vegetarian). Thank you for having us.

Ho prenotato direttamente con loro il tour prima di arrivare a Puerto Madryn con la nave da crociera. Sono venuti a prenderci direttamente al molo. Dopo il viaggio di circa un'ora su strade sterrate siamo arrivati al El Pedral. I pinguini erano spettacolari, camminavano a pochi passi da noi e sembrava si mettessero in posa per essere fotografati. Il barbecue (ottimo) è stato servito nella sala da pranzo della casa ed era composto da insalate, agnello alla griglia, macedonia e dolce, il tutto accompagnato da vino o birra. La tenuta era magica, sembrava di essere catapultati indietro nel tempo. Il personale e le proprietarie sono gentilissimi. La nostra guida (Rita) è stata molto brava ed era simpaticissima, dotata di un grande senso dell'umorismo. Vale sicuramente la pena visitare il posto.

EL PEDRAL Caminata guiada entre pingüinos de Magallanes Cada año en septiembre, una creciente colonia de simpáticos pingüinos de Magallanes se instala en El Pedral. Una caminata guiada entre sus nidos le posibilitará conocer mejor a esos curiosos animales. El Pedral sostiene un esquema de control y limpieza de playas, colaborando además con la fundación GPS (Global Penguin Society), que monitorea la colonia de pingüinos de Magallanes de Punta Ninfas Estancia Patagónica: - La estancia es un ejemplo de la vida rural patagónica. En El Pedral, los visitantes tienen la oportunidad de disfrutar de un entorno campestre, con amplias zonas de pastoreo, y una gran variedad de flora y fauna autóctona. Fauna Silvestre: Una de las principales atracciones de El Pedral es su cercanía con los hábitats de fauna patagónica. Es un excelente lugar para disfrutar de la observación de aves, guanacos, zorros, y otras especies típicas de la región. Además, la estancia se encuentra cerca de la Península Valdés, uno de los destinos más importantes para el avistaje de ballenas francas australes, pingüinos de Magallanes, lobos marinos, y otras especies marinas. Día de campo Es una excursión de todo el día. El primer punto del recorrido es Punta Ninfas y el faro, luego la estancia El Pedral dónde realizamos una caminata por la pinguinera, posteriormente se sirve el almuerzo ( cordero patagónico, ensaladas, bebidas, postre). Después del almuerzo recorrimos la vivienda del casco de la estancia y seguidamente sirven té o café con torta galesa.
