Stayed at this complex 27th September 25 to 4th October 25 and must say found all to be really, really good from the moment I arrived and was warmly greeted by Danaska at reception whom was Really helpful and must say a credit to the complex to the wonderful snack bar staff whom were also wonderful especially the lady with the glasses whom and I must apologise because I forgot to get her name to the cleaning and maintenance staff, found all to be excellent, the apartment I had was really good with a large balcony with a very good view, my only issue with the apartment was that there were no plug sockets or usb ports by the beds, everything thing else was perfect, apartment, pool and complex

This place is a total bargain. We paid £120 for 3 nights. The pool is lovely, the rooms are nice and the balconies are enormous and come with outside sunbeds and also a table, chairs, an umbrella, and also a bench. Beds were comfy and had proper pillows. Downsides include: the rooms are BOILING and do not come with aircon, we couldn’t put anything in the cupboards because they were full of ants (seems to be an issue in the whole of Puerto Rico), and also I could see that there would probably be an issue with lack of sunbeds however there was never not one available when we were there. The pool bar does a great breakfast for €6.90. Overall probably would stay again.

Really lovely place! The hotel montebello is fantastic! Lovely clean rooms, comfortable beds and anazing balcony with beautiful views, we had a studio apartment with 2 good sized single beds and a kitchen areas spotlessly clean, good sized fridge with freezer compartment microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and utensils! Great shower. Peaceful place, all the staff are lovely & helpful from the reception to the cleaners and the lifeguards and bar staff, very clean around the communal areas all the time. Lovely size pool and sun loungers woth plenty of unbrellas we always had available throughout the day! We are so glad we chose the Montebello to stay at, we will 100% return most relaxing holiday short walk to restaurants, onsite shop very good too and the beach is close by, yes lots of steps or walk round but still good and taxi fare aroun 4/5 euros we enjoyed the lovely walk!

just home from the montebello, had a lovely time again... Big shout out to FRAN on reception,what a gent and so helpful. the only thing that got to us this year was the sun longers. people going down an putting their towels on the loungers and pissing off for a few hrs. "montebello" please do something about this or at least put a bigger notice around pool regarding people doing it. it's just not fair.

Positives Rooms are a good size and balconies are large and well equipped. Views are fantastic! On site shop is handy and not too expensive. Pool bar offers good value for money. Negatives Rooms are very dated and had things like sockets hanging off the wall, missing light fittings and generally very grubby. Pool area is overrun at the weekend by residents bringing friends into the complex. I can only assume a lot of the flats are privately owned. Usual sunbed issues. Despite signs all round the complex saying no more than 30mins, staff weren’t interested. Definitely not for families. No atmosphere or evening entertainment. The games room at the hotel is only open in the winter. We booked this hotel, based mainly on the numerous good reviews. I can imagine for couples or groups it might be ok, but definitely not for families. I’m not going to critique the amount of stairs to get there as I think that’s just a quirk of the whole resort! We still had a great holiday and love the resort, but please take a lot of these reviews with a pinch of salt. If you are a family, it won’t be for you.

We have travelled to Gran Canaria around 4 or 5 times but this was the first time staying at the Servatur Montebello. We chose this hotel as we enjoy spending time on our balcony and we werent disappointed - they provide 2 sun loungers with cushions, a parasol, a large table and chairs and an inbuilt bench. We were on the 8th floor and had lovely views of Puerto Rico beach! The room itself had all you need for a self catering stay including a safe, kettle, hairdryer and coffee machine. We brought our own fan as there is no aircon but i believe you can hire one from reception. All the staff we encountered were very polite, the pool area was well maintained, we didnt use the pool bar so cant comment on prices but the small supermarket on floor 7 was reasonably priced and had all your basics. All in all, apart from the excessive amount of stairs or hills you need to climb to get anywhere in Puerto Rico, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
