The place has seen better days. Many of the photos shown in ads on Facebook and Trip.com are heavily edited, because the hotel itself is much more run down in person.
For $250 CAD for one night, I expected working air conditioning. The air conditioning was broken in my first room, so I requested a different room, but the second room was only slightly better. I visited two rooms, and each one had something different that was broken. I also met other guests in the hallway who said their air conditioning was not working either.
The snack bar was underwhelming, the free drinks were nothing special, and both the dinner and breakfast buffet in the main outdoor dining area made me wish I had eaten somewhere else.
The hotel promotes all of its restaurants and bars, but it felt more like a facade. The English pub was basically a red-painted door, no air conditioning, some lights, and a pool table. The other restaurants looked very similar to one another.
I also had to wait 1.5 hours after check-in time to receive my room.
The staff were wonderful, and I appreciated their service, but I would not stay here again, at least during the off-season.
