Crown Paradise Golden All Inclusive Resort - Adults Only

This is an affordable all-inclusive place to stay with a nice beach for swimming and sitting on the sand. There isn't much shade but you can rent a beach umbrella and chairs. The lobby and buffet are open air so it can get really hot during the warmer months. The food was safe, but unremarkable. There was a good variety of choices everyday and each night at the buffet had a theme, such as Mexican, Seafood night and BBQ to name three. We were there at the beginning of October and the weather was still quite hot and the Air Conditioning in the inside restaurants was not quite strong enough to cool the place down, but the servers were excellent. I was worried before arriving that the hotel would be noisy at night, but they have a night club for the resort across the street for all of the late night partiers making the hotel a quiet place to rest and sleep. However, one of the elevators must have been over something very stinky because most of the time, there was a smell of sewer for a lot of our rides. It was the elevator that was for the rooms on the beach front side of the hotel that went up to the 7th floor. The other elevator in that section only went up to the 6th floor. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on a top floor with roof exposure so our room was never able to cool down below 77 degrees despite the hotel's efforts to fix the AC so I had difficulty sleeping. I understand the lower rooms were nice and cool for sleeping. The maid did a great job keeping our room clean! This is a great place to stay for those who like a busy active beach area. It is centrally located which makes it easy to go into town or access tours. The hotel staff was great. If you want a more relaxing, quieter beach and pool, you will probably need to go elsewhere.

Don’t believe any terrible reviews. We adore this resort. Visited mid January for the 2nd time. It was just as enjoyable as it had been in 2018 and we will definitely return next year! It’s nicely contained but not at all cramped. Very friendly and hardworking staff. Bartenders were always generous. Beach very swimmable. It’s actually much preferable to be at a more midsize resort with children and elderly. Also the 10 min trip from the airport is really convenient as opposed to the hour long journey with other places. Being situated right in town is convenient as one can cheaply cab around if desired. On the beach we purchased a boatride, hair braids, as well as horsebackriding from folks passing by and had a great time. There is also a huge supermarket a 5 min walk away with all kids of high quality clothes/sandals, souvenirs, and other household things if something comes up. One of the main pools is actually slightly heated (which we have not seen anywhere else, and we have been to many Mexican all-inclusives on both the east and west coasts) which makes a huge difference. Obtaining pool loungers was never an issue even midway through the afternoon. Sure the rooms need updating but we don’t spend much time in there anyway. Some people have mentioned issues with the kids pool (?broken tiles); my kids, as young as 2, had 0 issues. Bring a lifejacket/swimvest if the kid is under 4 or 5 as part of the kids pool is moderately deep. The a la carte restaurants probably leave something to be desired but we only went once with the 4 kids along. Buffet certainly had everything we wanted and the waitstaff were very enthusiastic and attentive. It’s very reasonably priced, but don’t discount this place. Highly anticipating returning in 2025!

Horrible hotel! Stayed here for 7 nights for our 5 year anniversary. It all started at checkin. Before you get your room keys you’re forced to listed to a 30 min timeshare sales pitch. After we get our keys they put us in a room on the second floor. Floor 1 and 3 are being completely renovated and be renovated I mean gutted from top to bottom. 7am the next morning we are woken up to jackhammering and sledgehammers shaking our room! We decide to get up make coffee in the room and go talk to the front desk. We go to pour water in the coffee maker and it’s completely covered I mold! We go to the front desk and tell the man our situation. We are told that they are sold out, but (conveniently) they have a suite available for $140USD extra a night! We pay, cause we are 2000 miles from home and just want to have a decent rest of our vacation. We get to our room and it’s THE EXACT ROOM JUST ON A QUIET FLOOR! Not a suite! Not an upgrade. We go to the pool and invite 2 friends from a neighbor hotel for drinks/food at the pool. We all order drinks/food and 10 min later we are told that our friends have to pay $150USD to be at the pool!!! There’s literally 6 people at the pool besides us! We cancel our order and try to leave. We are told we still have to pay for the food/drinks we never received! Complete scam! They were never sold out by the way. The 7 nights we were there were saw maybe 20 people. Do not stay here!!! Worst vacation of my life!

The bartenders, Eduardo and Rico were very friendly, attentive and made amazing drinks in the Ekinox rooftop bar. I can't emphasize enough how delicious the food at the rooftop was. Fransisco was the rooftop chef, and he made the best ceviche tostadas, aguachiles, cesar salad, sashimi and the bagels I've had. The best drink and food made this trip and this hotel experience unforgettable.

While I love this hotel and have stayed 10+ times, my most recent experience was very disappointing. After check-in a woman approached me wearing a nametag that I believe said ”Fernanda” with the ”buganvilias resort” logo on it. She was older, maybe 46-56 years old with her hair braided in a ponytail behind her back. She tried to sell me the ”all inclusive” package (which I simply will never buy) and I politely declined ”no, thank you :)”. She pressured me harder and said ”what will you do on your vacation?” - obviously a silly question. I can enjoy myself without an all inclusive package. She then said ”what about WiFi?” and I stated ”The WiFi at this hotel is free...?” she said ”no, not anymore”. I then stated ”Well, the WiFi at this hotel is free for me, as I am Bonvoy Gold status” and she said ”no, not anymore”. I then made a frustrated face and she said ”Come on man, you're on vacation [so just let me upsell you!]”. She then placed her hand over her nametag and quickly walked away. I can tolerate being solicited, but I cannot tolerate being blatantly and repeatedly lied to. The WiFi at this hotel was in-fact free for all, with enhanced WiFi complementary for Bonvoy Gold members and above. Hopefully Fernanda isn't there the next time I visit. Photo unrelated: showing off the beautiful property.

We have traveled all over the world. This was the nicest classiest place we have stayed. Very quiet and exclusive. Nine rooms up on a hill overlooking the ocean. The staff is solicitous of your comfort but not intrusive. Sat by the pool and drank crafted margaritas impeccably served and made. We were pampered
