Astinian Apartments Jadranka

We found so much to recommend Astinian Apartments. The apartment itself was modern, scrupulously clean and well-appointed. The host was exceptionally helpful – even guiding us in for the last mile after our internet connection to Google Maps failed. Other staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. Our apartment comprised a kitchen / dining area (microwave oven, a two-ring hob, filter coffee maker, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment), a sitting area, one bedroom, a shower / WC, and a balcony. It was ideal for us as a couple. The sitting area has a sofa, which I understand converts to a sofa bed, so the apartment could also suit a couple with a young family. WiFi was very good and water pressure in the shower excellent. There is a washing machine on the lower ground floor for shared use. The site is beautifully maintained but quite compact. There is a swimming pool around 10 metres by 5 metres in size, a BBQ cooking area with two built in grills and several tables, and a garden area with artificial grass. Car parking is at the front of the building, with one space per apartment. Based on our research online, we had expected a larger complex with direct access to the sea front (although that was not stated). The building is in fact a block of ten, purpose-built apartments spread over four floors – two each on the lower ground and ground floors and three on each of the two upper floors. It is located at the edge of the village of Stinjan, in a cul-de-sac in a residential area. The location was blissfully quiet. The beach is around five- or six-minutes’ walk away. It is shingle rather than sand, and has the appearance of small limestone chippings, which we liked. The facilities at the beach are good and well maintained. Although the beach was crowded during our stay, it had a lovely dynamic – very family-oriented and cheerful. The beach-front pathway runs all the way to the small town of Fazana, around 55 minutes’ walk. We routinely walked to and from Fazana (although many others hired bikes), to make use of restaurants, cafes and the small supermarket. We found an excellent bar (The Crazy Beach Bar) on the route, which offers spectacular sunset views. We had booked a “Garden View” apartment, rather than one with a sea view. The garden view proved to be across the street to the gardens of other properties. It was very pleasant, and indeed we were able to watch numerous swallows busy nesting in the eaves of one of the houses. On the seaward side of the property, there is what appears to be a new, and as yet incomplete, building which may partially interrupt the view across a field and scrub woodland to the sea.

We have just returned from Astinian apartments Pula. We were well impressed with the apartments, very clean, modern and everythingyou need for self catering. Alen gave us all the information needed to visit Pula, restaurants and beach. Easy to get where you needed. Bus into Pula from the top of town. Very cheap, about £3 and 20 minutes. Beach 15 minutes walk, we had 32° in June and it was extremely tiring walking in the heat. If we return we will hire bikes or a car, but it was an extreme heatwave usually 26° in June. We ate at Campo Grill a couple of times, amazing food, well worth the walk. We also ate in Pula itself and on the beach at Puntezilla very reasonable prices for food and drink. Much cheaper than UK which is a bonus. Highly recommend these apartments when visiting Pula, Central for all your needs and excellent quality apartments at great value for money.. Top tip...self catering make sure you have foods that don't need to be cooked, ie..yogurt,fruit,cereals for breakfast incase there is a power cut. We had power cut 3 mornings and couldn't cook our eggs. Also shop closed as they couldn't use thier till..
