Gangrenboqi View Hotel ★★★
"The location is great. When we were looking at Lake Manasarovar and Lake Laangcuo, the clouds came up. We didn't expect to see Mount Kailash shining in the sun. The next day we saw the sunrise in the sun. The restaurant owner also said we were lucky. We were the only ones to see it this week."
YuntianInterContinental Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is well-equipped and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. I recommend staying here."
Yihao · Eco Smart Hotel ★★★
"The hotel was pleasant and the rooms reasonably size. Like a number of hotels I've stayed in China, the smell of sewer permeates the room at Yi Hao Hotel. It's caused by basic plumbing error where the wash basin outlet, floor water outlet and shower floor outlet were not installed with the standard U-bend to retain run-off water to create a reservoir that prevents sewer smell to returning back into the room. Not only is the sewer smell unpleasant, it's unhygienic. See the attached photo (from a different hotel in Tibet). China's national plumbing standards either needs upgrading or needs stricter enforcement. Prevention of sewer smell backflow is a very basic plumbing standard. Overseas guests from the tour group were complaining about the sewer smell. That's no good for China's international reputation. I was in a ground floor (Level 1) room close to the reception. The noise from the reception was loud clearly audible inside my room. Perhaps the hotel should install a door at the start of the corridor to the rooms to reduce noise pollution. Another point - the availability and the abundance of coffee is an essential breakfast element for foreign guests. Yi Hao did not provide coffee during breakfast."
Himalaya Kailash Hotel ★★★
"Old hotel, good service attitude, but outdated facilities."
歸域酒店(岡仁波齊風景區店)
"The lady boss was incredibly warm and thoughtful, genuinely kind and friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities, including oxygen supply and heating, which made us feel very comfortable during our high-altitude sickness. The location was convenient for getting around, quiet and not noisy, and every detail showed great care. It's rare to find such a friendly host when traveling far from home. The experience was perfect, highly recommended! I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"
Taqin 1314 Scenic View Camping Hotel ★★★
"The service was excellent. The room was excellent. The view was excellent."
Letu Oxygen Supply Scenic Hotel (Gangrenboqi Scenic Area) ★★
"Hygiene: Clean and tidy Facilities: Hot water is readily available, underfloor heating works well, and oxygen supply is ample. Service: Excellent service; very enthusiastic recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended! Ali's only hair wash was here; the temperature was perfect – not cold at all, and the price was reasonable. Excellent value for money."
Licheng Chinese Inn (Taqin Mount Kailash Scenic Area) ★★★
Qidian Hotel (Gangrenboqi Scenic Area) ★★★
"Upon entering the room, I was struck by its spaciousness and softness. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There were two oxygen vents near the bed, providing both diffused oxygen and nasal inhalation – fantastic! The three-part bathroom was also very pleasant. Best of all, being able to drink mineral water from Mount Kailash while circumambulating the karst peak was truly auspicious. The hotel's underfloor heating was excellent, and with the humidifier, the air wasn't dry at all. Overall, the stay was incredibly comfortable and wonderful."

Himalaya Pulan Hotel
"The room was spacious with a great view of the snow-capped mountains. The service was excellent; they helped us with our luggage to the room, and we received a free upgrade along with breakfast. The location was also very convenient."
Pranphuntsok Kangsang Oxygen Hotel
"The hotel's front desk service was warm and thoughtful. They even helped turn on the oxygen supply equipment and humidifier when we were taken upstairs. The room was clean, spacious, and well-lit. The breakfast was also rich in variety. This hotel is highly recommended in this area."
Shenling Mountain Oxygen-enriched Hotel
"The hotel boasts a great location in a small town, offering excellent views of Mount Kailash from the rooms. It also features diffused oxygen supply, and there are several restaurants nearby for convenient dining. For travelers with cars, parking is readily available."
Gangbo Peacock Valley Ranch Hotel(Pulan
"The service was warm and attentive, but not overbearing. The hygiene was excellent, and the in-room amenities were top-notch. Although there's no TV or projector in the room, it's filled with a great selection of books. They also provided Tea Republic tea bags, Wuyi rock tea, and a tea set, as well as ******* sweet tea and Nestlé Crunch bars – perfect for combating altitude sickness with a sweet drink. I even received a complimentary Coke upon check-in. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options and delicious coffee. There was a slight smell from the bathroom drain, but they were already checking the pipes. It wasn't strong enough to affect my stay."
Mapangyongcuo Hot Spring Hotel
"The hotel is far from the city, so it's very quiet at night. It's also not far from the Holy Lake viewpoint, making it convenient to catch the sunrise and then return for breakfast. After watching the sunrise over Mount Kailash (Gang Rinpoche) and the 'golden mountain' phenomenon, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that dinner was provided, and it was free! We shared a table with other guests, enjoying a meal of six dishes for six people, including some non-spicy options, which was a huge plus. The staff showed us around the hotel facilities upon check-in, making sure the room's heating, oxygen, and humidifier were on beforehand, and even helped with our luggage. Their thoughtfulness for guests was commendable. The hot spring was also excellent; it was freezing outside, but the hot spring inside was very comfortable. What's more, the owner and staff also ate and soaked in the hot springs at the hotel, which shows they truly enjoy their work. I'm looking forward to the completion of the renovations on the second and top floors, as it promises an even better experience for stargazing and viewing the sacred mountains."
Purang Jinmantang Holiday Hotel
"The stay experience was very satisfactory. The hotel is strategically located, and it is very convenient to travel and eat. The front desk staff is warm and courteous and the check-in efficiency is very high. The room is clean and bright, the layout is reasonable, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sleep is excellent. The bathroom facilities are intact, the hot water supply is stable, and the quality of toiletries is good. The indoor sound insulation effect is good, the night is quiet and not noisy, and the quality of rest is guaranteed. The public area is clean and elegant, the breakfast is rich in variety, and the taste is homely. The overall hardware facilities are well maintained, the service is intimate and thoughtful, and the price is outstanding. Whether it is a business trip or a short-distance residence, it is very suitable, and I will choose this one next time I come to the local area."
Holiday Inn View Philippe
"The overall environment of the hotel is very good, the room is hygienic, the service is also very good, the room has a supply and humidifier. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, the blue sky and white clouds, the air is fresh, and the supporting facilities are complete."
Purang Jidu Oxygen-enriched Hotel
"This hotel was the one my colleagues and I chose for our business trip, and it was really great! The landlady was very helpful, recommending nearby restaurants and tourist attractions. Since my colleague needed to fly back to Lhasa the next day, she even arranged a shuttle bus for us to the airport (apparently the only one that runs there each day). The hotel room was clean, odor-free, and well-ventilated. The bath towels, hand towels, and toiletries were all disposable, which was a first for me in Tibet. The room had excellent oxygenation and was quiet, so it didn't disturb our rest. The underfloor heating was also very warm; we didn't feel cold at all. This hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended! [Strong][Strong][Strong]"
Pulan North Sichuan Hotel
"There is a parking lot, good parking, not far from the base camp, it will definitely be there within five minutes of driving. The room was super big, and the front desk lady was intimate to help carry the luggage. Breakfast is rich and delicious"
Fanjing Camp RV Guesthouse · Mount Kailash Base Camp
"The RV is small and complete. Good health, air conditioning oxygen generators. Arrived very late that day, the little brother was enthusiastic and actively helped us check in, turn on the oxygen generator and air conditioner, and the experience was very good. You should see Shenshan in the camp, but unfortunately there was no fate to see it that day. I will choose here next time I have the opportunity."
Jinxin Grand Hotel (Gangrenboqi Scenic Area)
"The hotel is conveniently located right by the road, easy to find. It's an old house converted into a hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated and cleanliness is just okay. However, given the high-altitude environment, the landlady was very warm and welcoming. She even offered to put our milk and yogurt in the fridge and helped us with our luggage. The hot water was strong and really hot."
Hotel Kailash & Namunani View
"Hotel location is good to find parking lot, the room is clean and comfortable, no smell, you can see Gang Rinpoche directly outside the window, the bath water is very hot, there is a step in the bathroom, I don’t like the front desk staff. The attitude is warm and thoughtful. Help us take the luggage to the second floor. Overall, it is not bad."
