From Inception we could tell that this Hotel has some of the best security. Even before entering the premises we needed to identify ourselves as one of the guests (with ID). Afterwards our bags were tagged and kept during the checkin process which was efficient and quick. We also received a lift to our room(however this may be the only time you experience this, you will mostly need to walk). Everything was within a reasonable walking distance and the scenery in the premises is definitely a 10/10. The beach maybe because of the time of year (September) did have some amount of strong sargassum however there are times when it is alot clearer and swimable so a 6/10. There is a daily activities sheet with different programs throughout the day, however because of the heat in the day, we mostly participated in the evening where there were more personalized activities that ran until 11pm so I would rate this a 8.5/10. For food we mostly ate at ventanas which was buffet style, service was fast as it relates to us getting our seats, and the wide variety of options was great. The palm grill was also very fast and was close to the pool which made it very assessable for a quick snack and drink. UMI though ambient, the food in of itself needed to be a bit more fresh and less dry, still a great experience nonetheless. Overall I would rate the food there a solid 8/10. The Grilled beef that was served during my time there at the “dinner under the stars” was fabulous 20/10. The staff there are also very vigilant and ensure that the premise remains impeccable, disposing of any trash or litter that is within sight. They are also very pleasant. They also spoke and understood some amount of English for this I would rate their service a 10/10. As it relates to the room itself we were locked out once and needed to walk to and from reception to get it replaced, we also found the coffee maker to be unwashed however once we made it known it was quickly sorted. Additionally, on our second to last day there we found that the trash wasn’t cleared nor was the fridge restocked, which it usually was, for this I would rate this service a 7.5/10. Overall, I would rate my time there a solid 8/10.
