📍 C. Esteros, 3, Huelva, Punta Umbria

"Nice hotel in the area very close to the beach. The rooms are a bit aged for the price we paid, and the lift is extremely small. It is a bit far from the city centre but 1 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast buffet is nice with plenty of options. A great highlight of this hotel is the Customer Service at the front desk and the comfortable pool, but who wants a pool when the beach is 2 steps away?"

"All excelent as usual, as a repeat guest. Just a downside, we booked all inclusive and arrived after 4pm, asked if we could have lunch on the departure day as we lost the lunch included on arrival and we were told it's not possible. "

"It is well located, in a quieter area of Punta Umbria and close to the beach. The apartments are nothing extraordinary. One thing I liked is that they take care to have a kit with a new dish sponge, dishcloth and detergent for each guest. The cleanliness of the apartment is nothing special. They only cleaned it once in a week, and not very well. They allow pets, which is good for those who like to bring their four-legged friends, but it creates more noise. The insulation is also not very good."

"Hotel is great with a fantastic location and the staff are amazing, however as in many places sunbeds at the pool were reserved and not used and no controls over that leaving many guests with no place to sun bathe"

"Quiet, family-friendly hotel, not at all crowded. Very pleasant and professional staff. Very good buffet. Everything was delicious. Very well-kept facilities and rooms. Close to the beach. To the promenade and stalls area, a 20-minute walk away. The adult entertainment was perhaps the weakest part, but the guests did not participate much."

Barceló Punta Umbría Beach Resort ★★★★
"We stayed at Barcelona Resort and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, with the beach, shops, and local amenities all within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. All of the receptionists at the resort where we stayed were lovely, especially María, who made us feel very welcome. The resort has four different restaurants offering a wide variety of delicious dishes. Breakfast was excellent, with an impressive selection of food to suit all tastes. There were also plenty of activities for families and children, making it a great choice for all ages. Our room was comfortable. During our stay, we had an issue with the bathroom basin, but as soon as we reported it, it was repaired promptly, which we really appreciated. The only downside was the check-in process. The resort has several different locations, and we initially went to the wrong one. We were sent from one resort to another, which was quite confusing and frustrating. It would be helpful if the resort provided someone to escort guests to the correct apartment, as we have experienced at resorts in Portugal and Croatia. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Barcelona Resort to others."

"When we got to the apartments we saw them a little ugly on the outside but when we entered the apartment we saw that it wasn't too bad. But deluxe apartment?😳not at all. It lacks basic services to have that rating, such as a small kitchen and a microwave and refrigerator. Scarce kitchen utensils. The bedrooms are not bad and only one bathroom for 4. The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent unless you paid an extra fee, which is more than included in a luxury apartment. If you add parking and a lot of services that should be included because it is “luxury”, you pay more than 2000 euros for a typical apartment. The cleaning ladies were generally nice except for the one on Thursday the 10th who called to clean at 10 in the morning and since we were having breakfast she gave us a bad look. Then I called at 11 and as we were about to go to the beach she told us to hurry up because she couldn't spend all morning wandering around. To do gymnastics you had to get up at 7 because the spa started and the two things together were like metaphysics. The small pool allows you to play with balls and as you can imagine it is a battlefield. If they changed the cleaning every day (which is not very noticeable except that they make your bed) for a wifi that is powered by pedals, the place would improve somewhat. Punta Umbría as such is great but if you want to go to a luxury place, it's not even close. I travel a lot and I have been in apartments that, without being classified as luxury, were fantastic and had all the basics. So 2000 euros plus the bonuses (I forgot the washer and dryer) you get the joke and more than 2000 euros long. For that I pay a little more and go to Barcelo. The people at reception simply neither fu nor fa. Few services and many pretensions. I would neither return nor recommend it."

"Overall, it was very good… some things were a bit off, but it's a busy hotel, so it's somewhat understandable. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen and utensils were very clean, the bathroom a bit dated, and the sofa was very uncomfortable, to say the least. It's quite far from the town center, and parking is terrible. The beach is very close."

Hotel Ayamontino ★★
"Terrible. The smell in the rooms and common areas is repulsive, unbearable. The rooms are full of dust. And the lighting in the rooms is poor. It is impossible to rest with that smell that even stuck to your clothes. We would like no one to go through this situation, so uncomfortable."
