We had a three-day weekend trip with our two kids. The card and chess room was quite spacious, and we could play board games as a family, but there was still a lingering smell of smoke. I hope they can address the smoke issue with regular cleanings! Overall, I had a great impression of the hotel's environment and service. However, the cleanliness could be improved. For nearly a thousand yuan a night, the experience could definitely be better! The hotel is located on the southernmost tip of the island but is also very close to the ferry terminal, less than a 20-minute drive away. It's uncrowded and beautiful, very close to Shenshiyuan (Divine Stone Park), and boasts its own scenic beach and outdoor pool. We could play in the water and dig in the sand anytime, which made the kids very happy! It's perfect for parents with young children! We enjoyed the sea breeze, watched the sunset, and spent time with the kids. We ate at the hotel restaurant throughout our stay and were surprisingly satisfied! However, it's best to go during peak meal times. On our last day, we went for lunch at 1:30 PM, and it seemed the chef had already left because the taste was completely different from the previous two days, which was a bit disappointing! Meizhou Island is small, and renting an electric scooter to explore is very pleasant. The environment is clean and well-regulated, offering a great experience. I'm planning to go back for a few more days when I have time! But, pay attention to these two things! First, if you go in the summer, you absolutely must use sun protection. I got lazy this time and only wore a hat, and I ended up getting sunburned! Second, the ferry ride takes a while, which was a bit annoying for me because of the waiting time! Also, it's better to bring your own sand-digging tools for the kids. The hotel's tools were of poor quality, thin and flimsy; they bent with just one scoop! 😅
