A nice place to get away. We did not do any of the packages but it was still a lovely night's stay. The meals are personal. We were traveling with young children and the staff was kind and giving so the children didn't feel like a burden. We enjoyed the pool and the meals and the rooms. A lovely place to be.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my family and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The location was excellent for a relaxing peaceful stay. The hotel facilities were great, and I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. What stood out most was the outstanding customer service. Every interaction made us feel valued as a guest, and the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience from check-in to check-out. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

I would like to sincerely thank the management and staff of Cloud Nine Lanka Resort for the warm hospitality and excellent service extended to us during our recent stay. My friends and I stayed for two nights on a business trip, and it was truly a pleasant and memorable experience. The resort is beautifully designed and peacefully located in Puttalam, approximately 20 km from Puttalam town and about a 2 hour and 30-minute drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. Its serene location makes it an ideal destination for guests who appreciate nature, wildlife, and a quiet escape away from busy city life. During our stay, we visited Wilpattu National Park via the Eluwankulama entrance. This was an excellent choice, as the entrance is less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable safari experience. The park is conveniently located just 30 minutes from the resort. We were fortunate to witness a variety of wildlife, making the entire safari truly unforgettable. The following day, we enjoyed a river safari along with bird watching, which was both relaxing and unique. The resort offers a wide range of activities including night fishing, kayaking, bird watching, nature walks, bicycle tours, and village visits, ensuring a fulfilling experience for guests who enjoy outdoor adventures. The food at the resort was delicious, offering a good variety of both Sri Lankan and international cuisine. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The entire staff and management team were extremely friendly, attentive, and well organized, always ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. Additionally, the resort features a traditional Sri Lankan Ayurveda spa, providing a deeply relaxing experience for guests. I highly recommend Cloud Nine Lanka Resort to anyone planning a visit to Sri Lanka and looking for a peaceful nature retreat close to Wilpattu. Stopped overnight on our ‘ tour’. Managed an early morning swim in the delightful and tranquil pool. Food very good with helpful service. Only sorry we weren’t there longer to enjoy amenities!

Approached via a 2km “road” (which is not in the best condition so be warned!!), and is off the beaten-track, you receive a warm welcome including a refreshing welcome drink Lovely pool area (pool was very warm) Bedrooms are set away from the main reception along a path with thick bushes at either side. Bedroom fairly basic; instant coffee and dreadful powder milk (I asked for proper milk and it quickly came); no black-out curtains here, just a net curtain so you are woken when the sun comes up! Nice large bathroom with very good shower Food is ok, it’s not 5 star (may be not even 4 star) but it’s ok. Choices for the fixed price half board menu are fairly limited to 2/3 choices only. Cloud Nine is in the middle of a wildlife area, there are monkeys, gekko’s (including in the bedroom’s which can be removed if necessary), and god knows what else. All of which make a lot of noise. Obviously there’s mosquitoes. Did we enjoy our stay? yes we did - the staff are very good and this is a little oasis in some respects - but two days was enough of wildlife making noise and enough of the rustic features of this hotel although the pool area and overall vibe is in some respects tranquil but be warned of animal noises at all times due to it’s location ££

We enjoyed an incredible stay as a family. The resort and the rooms are very neat&tidy&comfortable. The staff is kind, warm&welcoming and very helpful. The food is wonderful. We highly recommend Cloud Nine Lanka Resort Wilpattu. Thanks to all the staff !

I visited Cloud Nine Lanka Resort for the second time, and honestly, it was such a lovely experience! I really loved the English breakfast, and the fresh hot hoppers were amazing. I had some work to do during my stay, and this place was perfect for that, the internet connection was really good, and it is such a calm environment to work and relax at the same time. The rooms were absolutely clean, and the staff also gave us really good service, they were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay! The morning view is just beautiful! There is a spot in the hotel where you can see the sunrise, and it’s something I haven’t experienced anywhere else. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely go back again ❤️

We were recommend Cloud Nine for the nature experience and wildlife photography and we thought it exceeded our expectations. The park entrance itself was special since there is a gorgeous view with the river. It took us about 20 minutes to the entrance. We were told there are 2 entrances to the park in Hunuwilagama and Eluwankalama, and that the Eluwankalama entrance has to be requested since it is much closer to the resort. The rooms were quite comfortable and we thlught the pathways to get to the rooms was a nice touch as well. It was thoughtful and we felt safe as the staff to accommpany us with torches at night. Compared to a normal luxury city hotel experience, I would say the prime luxury of this resort is the connection to nature, the hospitality of staff and the overall experience. We would definitely recommend a few nights stay to explore the lagoon and all the excursions.
