This was our 17th trip to Siwa staying at Taziry Ecolodge. We witnessed several improvements enhancing the comfort of all guests, including the new sensor auto lighting of all bathrooms. Overall all members of our group had a wonderful time at Taziry, where the staff were super friendly, courteous, and attentive to our every need. I must alert future guests staying at Taziry, that they will most certainly gain weight as a result of the delicious meals prepared and served by the lovely staff members, food is simply WONDERFUL! While I imagine this place could be a 5-star destination, it is currently poorly maintained and in need of an abundance of love and care. I was here with a group of 30 people. My room had a leaking toilet the entire visit, with water surrounding the toilet at all times, even tho management addressed it and attempted to fix it. I imagine there was probably mold there as well due to the constancy of standing water...didn't take out a flashlight to verify. No hot water the first day. After that, there was hot water, but the floor of the shower was so slimy, I lay a towel down to stand upon. The bathroom clearly had not been cleaned between guests....toothpaste on the mirror, faucets, sink area. I finally cleaned it myself as I was so disgusted. There was a water bottle cap found under the sink on the floor from previous occupant that remained in place from day 1 of my stay in this room. This seems to be run by all males, not a female in sight. The food was good. The lack of cleanliness of the room and lack of maintenance of the grounds/buildings/signs is evidence of the lack of LOVE this place so desperately needs. The ambience of the candles and lack of electricity is quite romantic. I was sorely disappointed with my visit here. I would not recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel, complete shut down from stress and modern life , a place to relax and enjoy and meet with yourself and heal. No electricity no internet no TV. Food is very authentic and service is Ok but people are very nice and gentle. I recommend this place for a real break

This a place you will never forget ! Just beware that modern comfort don't exist here. Candle lights will take you to the past, or to nice moments with your family, friends ir even to yourself. Big rooms breathtaking views, the moroccon style good, mas the hotel real are just amazing. Special thanks tô Aziz, he is just such a gentleman !

Staying at Taziry was a dream! AbdelAziz our guide was beyond helpful, quick with solutions and full of interesting stories of Siwa. The grounds of the lodge provide stunning scenery and emit a calm that is unparalleled in Egypt. Would definitely recommend to any looking for a quiet, relaxing, and restorative stay in Siwa.

The setting is exceptional, but the lack of Management on site is obvious. When we arrived we spent 10 minutes trying to find someone to check-in and had to telephone the co-owner in Cairo who telephoned the hotel staff who appeared 5 minutes later! The room we were promised, with one electrical outlet, was not provided. The toilet seat was filthy and stained. It required us to clean it with antiseptic solution. The hotel staff went out of there way to look after us but there is a need for some oversight. When Chef Omar was on-site things ran smoother. Dinner on the first night was a feast and wonderful. On the second night the kitchen obviously struggled and the dinner can only be described as fair and disappointing. Having been told we could eat dinner when we liked, when we asked to eat at 9pm after a long desert Safari , we were told it had to be earlier. This was even though other guests sat down to dinner at 9.30pm. The outside cushions on the sun bed and chairs are left out at night and the staff have to brush the sand off the cushions every morning. It’s beyond me why the cushions could not be taken in at night. When we came to leave we were told we needed to pay a large bill in cash and not card. After some negotiation with the staff, who had to make calls to one of the owners, we paid half cash half card. There should be a specific message sent to customers before arrival that the hotel requires cash payment. A visit to the one ATM in SIWA was fruitless because the ATM was out of order! Our visit was saved by our guides on the half day cultural tour and full day at the salt lakes and the desert Safari. My advice find another hotel unless the Management takes additional interest in supervising.

On my 3 days stay at the Oasis, I just loved everything about Taziry, from the first day, I had meet the most kind and respectful people, they were so dedicated to us 24 hrs, non stop with the most warming smile. I loved my room, I had never experience a retreat stay like this one, very clean and colorful with a incredible Sunrise & Sunset view above the Oasis and Mountains, PRICELESS! No electricity, but we had candles and hot water, You may get a little wifi connection at their charging station, but the point of the of the entire experience is to disconnect from the usual and connect with nature and the Siwan Beduin lifestyle. The Siwan food it’s so unique and delicious!! I haven’t tried the same during my travel anywhere in all Egypt. Farm to table food, They grown their own coffee beans, olive oil, veggies and make daily fresh marmalade’s with choices of dates and other fruits, out of this world! They also offer a bunch of activities to your preference we picked a few, one of the tours was their incredible 4x4 Safari. Who can drive in the desert like they do!WOW Only Siwans!! 🙌🏻 A full day in the Sahara Desert, sandboarding, games, they made us laugh until cry! Including delicious homemade food & fogata 🔥 with red beduin style tea, we stopped at many Oasis in the desert with everything we need, even towels! We ended such a fun day with a Siwan Beduin buffet family style dinner, You can never go hungry in the desert! We began right after Starlight gazing at their night camp. So much to do, they made our stay so short. If you’re looking for a different adventurous experience or just to relax and meditate this is the place a would 100% recommend. This is not a 5 Star Resort with Ocean view! It’s a Beduin 5 Stars Ecovillage in the DESERT !! And I can’t wait to go back for more memorable adventures and see my Siwan friends again!
