(Also to see the order is what time to check out, I am going to check out at three o'clock during the day. The staff called us at 1:30 and said that the hotel did not check out at three o'clock. "I booked a deluxe twin room, and they upgraded me to a room with a view when I checked in, which was a nice touch. I did a lot of research beforehand, and I have to say, the official photos make the place look like a cheap motel, but it's actually much better, haha! The space is huge. The vanity area is big enough for two people to spread out their makeup, and the small makeup mirror has excellent lighting. The bathroom is quite large, and there's even an emergency call button in the toilet, which is a rare and great feature! It's pretty quiet overall; I'd say the soundproofing between rooms is standard. The only minor noise issue is from the sightseeing buses and construction vehicles passing by, as it's next to the road, but it's still acceptable. The only really noticeable noise is the air conditioning, but that's unavoidable with central AC. The front desk and other staff were all very friendly and patiently answered all my questions. The cafeteria is also quite close, and the square where they release lanterns is incredibly near – just cross a small bridge, and you're there. It's really easy to find. This trip wasn't planned for other activities; I just came to see the Lantern Festival, so I didn't explore much else. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary cable car ticket, which I thought was a great deal. If you were to buy a round-trip ticket yourself, it would be about the same price per person. There's an observation deck at the top that's definitely worth visiting. It was incredibly foggy when we went, but it made everything look so ethereal and truly magical. The next morning, it cleared up a bit for breakfast, but the fog hadn't completely lifted yet. I'm sure Gexian Village is even more beautiful on a sunny day. Breakfast was decent; not amazing, but there was a good variety of options."

"A family-friendly hotel costing 1400 yuan a night is truly awful. The hotel is advertised as being inside the scenic area, but it's actually located outside the visitor center. Because there are long queues for tickets to enter the scenic area, I was hoping to easily return to the hotel to rest after a long day of sightseeing, but instead, I had to take a shuttle bus to the scenic area each time. Especially during the National Day holiday, after seeing the Lantern Festival, there was no shuttle bus, and I had to walk 20 minutes to the hotel. What's the point of paying 1400 yuan for a hotel like this? It's advertised as a family-friendly hotel, but I didn't see any family-friendly features. Aside from some cartoon stickers, children's tickets and breakfast are not included. The restaurant isn't even on the same building; you have to walk 200 meters uphill to another hotel for breakfast. The breakfast selection was very limited, and all the dishes were spicy, making it impossible for children to eat. The milk was clearly half-diluted. Speechless! There are too many things to complain about! The hotel environment is as pictured. It's truly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, bar none. It's even worse than a guesthouse! Anyone who books this hotel is a sucker!"

The guesthouse facilities are quite new, very clean, and the soundproofing is excellent – there are even seals for it. The owners were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond, even helping us find parking at the scenic area! My only suggestion, haha, would be to add hand soap to the washroom! Ge Xian Village is also an amazing spot! If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again."

The owner was incredibly welcoming, patiently and attentively assisting with everything from arrival to inquiries about my itinerary. The room was impeccably clean; the bedding was spotless, and there wasn't a speck of dust in the corners. The facilities were complete and practical, making for a very comfortable stay. I was initially worried I wouldn't be comfortable, but the entire experience was fantastic, completely dispelling any concerns I had. The environment was also very quiet; waking up to the sounds of nature was incredibly pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Gexian Village—you won't be disappointed!"
