Oceanwide Elite Hotel

The hotel has a great location, right next to the pier, and about a 10-minute walk from the metro station, making it very convenient for exploring the old town's attractions. We booked a sea-view room; it was spacious, though the facilities were a bit dated, especially the air conditioning which sometimes ran very weak. The cleanliness was acceptable, and the front desk staff were warm and helpful, always resolving issues promptly. Overall, it's great value for money.

I have to say, during peak season, accommodation prices along Qingdao's coastline are really not cheap. But between a guesthouse and a hotel, I'd still choose the latter, at least it's likely to be cleaner. The room was very spacious, and the location was excellent. Opening the window, I could see Zhanqiao Pier and the Naval Museum – a really great view. Staying on the 6th floor, it wasn't too noisy with the windows closed. However, the facilities are indeed very old. They were the same 30 years ago when I visited, and they haven't been updated at all since. Upon entering the lobby, you can smell the mustiness of an old building. The breakfast selection was also quite limited, and most items were pre-made. But for a long-established Qingdao hotel and restaurant, I suppose it's acceptable. If you're looking for a sea view from your window, a great view, and have a generous budget, this is definitely worth considering. For guests seeking perfection, you might want to look elsewhere.

If you're over 1.8 meters tall, the door frame is so low you'll constantly bump your head. And seriously, the shower always splashes water everywhere! The hotel hallway also has a strong, damp, musty wood smell. What a shame, especially considering its excellent location!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled between Zhanqiao Pier and the Naval Museum, both just a 10-minute walk away. Cross the street and you're at the beach, perfect for kids to dig for sand and collect shells at low tide. If you book a sea view room, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic ocean views right from your window. While the hotel itself is a bit dated, it's kept remarkably clean and well-maintained. Breakfast, however, is quite limited and very basic. This hotel comes highly recommended if your main purpose for visiting is to enjoy the ocean.

The sea view is superb, you open the window and see the ocean with no obstructions, and the pier is right there. The room is quite large, spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and served until 10 AM, but when we went at 9:30 AM, there was no yogurt left. We informed the staff, but it wasn't replenished. Generally speaking, the hotel restaurant and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the middle-aged workers. The cleaning lady was particularly enthusiastic. I wanted to give the hotel a five-star rating, but I have to deduct points because of the two young receptionists who checked us in. They were arrogant and sarcastic. We arrived at the hotel around 8 PM, and there was no one at the front desk when we entered the lobby. When they heard us, the two young women came out from the back. Their tone was haughty, cold, and dismissive. These two young ladies definitely need more training.

The facilities are definitely very old. Its main advantage is its excellent location, being very close to Zhanqiao Pier, Zhongshan Road, and Qingdao Station.

The hotel is quite old, but it's close to Zhanqiao Pier. We went at the wrong time of year, so there weren't many seagulls. The service auntie was very enthusiastic and even provided sand-digging tools for my child. I suggest they add conditioner.

Great location! You can see Zhanqiao Pier and the Naval Museum right outside the window. It's also very close to Zhongshan Road, University Road, Comic Street, and other attractions. The hotel's Chinese breakfast is very authentic Shandong style! The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old, but that's a minor issue. It's still a fantastic choice for a city walk in Qingdao's old town!
