LOSTVILLA(Hohhot Yellow River Grand Canyon)

The hostess was fantastic, very responsive and attentive. On the second morning, it rained, and when we woke up and stepped out, we found an umbrella placed right by our door. So thoughtful!

Our whole family stayed in the family room. Everyone was so tired from the boat trip at Laoniuwan that they didn't even want to talk, but when we arrived at The Looseland, we were all absolutely stunned. Sitting on the cliff's edge, a sense of peace washed over us. The mountain was incredibly quiet, and there were many families with children around. It started pouring rain that night, so we missed out on the bonfire, but the post-rain tranquility and freshness was an experience in itself.

This B&B is in an excellent location within the Yellow River Grand Canyon scenic area. Parking is convenient, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The viewing platform in the courtyard offers absolutely stunning scenery. The service is attentive and warm, and the food tastes good. They provide fresh fruit and snacks daily, and even deliver sweet soup to your room in the evenings.

As Jiang Wen once said, 'I made dumplings just for a saucer of vinegar.' Similarly, I came all the way to Laoniuwan for The Lost Villa. Honestly, the services, facilities, and scenery at Laoniuwan Scenic Area itself aren't really worth a special trip. The true highlight is actually the viewing platform at The Lost Villa, but unfortunately, only those who stay there can truly experience that atmosphere. Most pure tourists would probably regret coming here. Having stayed at Yellow River Shuji before, I had a baseline expectation for The Lost Villa, and I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars, with the remaining half-star going to the view. The staff were incredibly responsive and accommodating, couldn't fault them at all. Plus, there were wild hamsters (Hajime is a cat/dog) accompanying dinner and breakfast, which was a unique touch. In short, everything was great.

Fantastic location, directly facing the Yellow River and the cliffs, absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The butler service was meticulous and thoughtful. The food was also exceptional, and the Yellow River carp was absolutely delicious.

This guesthouse feels like it's going downhill. Aside from the scenery, which is its only draw, the other services just don't measure up. The breakfast area is unpleasant; all the cups were dirty, and the soy milk was watery and bland. For such a high price, the food options are incredibly limited – even a budget hotel like Hanting does better. The staff were unhelpful and seemed annoyed, and I could clearly hear them arguing behind me. For such a high room rate, couldn't they hire a few more staff? The guesthouse's common areas lack a laundry room, gym, or any kids' facilities; there's absolutely nothing, just the room itself. The TV had no signal. The hot pot we ordered was awful, with very few ingredients, and the coffee was also terrible. Overall, besides the Yellow River gorge, the entire experience was very mediocre. Low value for money.

The location and ambiance are excellent, and definitely worth the price. The dinner prepared by the chef deserves high praise; both the hotpot and stir-fries were incredibly delicious. My only complaint is about the coffee and beer prices, which felt a bit steep, like Shanghai prices. The coffee wasn't even as good as Luckin Coffee… Everything else was fantastic though!

The service was impeccable; the butler and staff were incredibly responsive. Both lunch and dinner were delicious, and there are some great local eateries nearby. The scenery is absolutely stunning! The only area for improvement would be cleanliness, for example, the toothbrush cups weren't replaced. However, it's a minor issue and didn't really detract from the experience. I'd definitely go back if I have the chance.

An absolutely wonderful travel experience! The hotel boasts a fantastic location, and I was very pleased with both the service and the environment. Enjoying a coffee in the hotel cafe with the canyon breeze in the morning was incredibly relaxing. If you're lucky, you might even catch a breathtaking sunset, truly a golden glow painting the mountains and rivers into a dream!
