Atour Hotel (Qingyuan Shunying Guangbai)

Everything about Atour, from the bedding and pillows to the service, is top-notch. The cleanliness is reassuring, and the laundry service is completely hassle-free. You can even get congee in the evenings. The breakfast also has no major flaws.

The hotel is located next to a residential complex. The entrance to the underground parking garage is a bit narrow, so if you're not a confident driver, you might want to avoid it. There are four slow-charging stations for electric vehicles in the underground garage, but one of them was out of order. When I checked in, the front desk asked if I wanted a higher floor room, and I said yes, but in the end, I was given a low-floor room.

The room was clean and tidy, the service was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable.

This is a mixed-use property, and waiting for the elevators to go up and down was just an endless wait... and the elevator was tiny! It was ridiculous. After checking in, the TV displayed a welcome message for a Mr. Wu. Who is Mr. Wu? I even thought I was in the wrong room. I'm not sure if that was a pleasant surprise or a shock! Everything else was fine, pretty standard. I recommend the Qingyuan chicken at Beijiang!

Jingming and sister Mincai provided excellent service, patiently explaining everything, understanding our needs, and proactively helping us solve problems. The hotel room was clean, supplies were replenished quickly, and the soundproofing for the exhaust pipe was good. The mini-program foot bath, earplugs, and eye mask were especially great for a middle-aged driver traveling with their mother!

Our stay at Atour Hotel was a great experience. The room decor was lovely, and we chose a high floor which offered excellent views. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and they even offered heartwarming late-night congee, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel's location is convenient; it was easy to drive to Chimelong Qingyuan, and there's a large shopping mall nearby with plenty of options for shopping and dining, making it perfect for family trips.

The hotel is in the city center, which is very convenient for getting around. I'm very satisfied with the room, and the hotel staff are super friendly and welcoming. The bedding is top-notch, and I even want to buy the pillow to take home, hahaha!

The service was great, but everything else was pretty bad. There are only two elevators for a 20-plus story building, so waiting 10 minutes for an elevator, whether going up or down, was the norm. It was a real time-waster. The laundry room was also very crowded, and it was only thanks to the auntie's service that order was maintained – I have to commend her for that; her service was truly excellent. However, the irons were terrible. The owner should really consider replacing them with better ones; they were completely unusable. How can you iron thick shirts with two steam irons like that? The room was on the small side; we couldn't even open two suitcases. For a place like Qingyuan, which isn't a big city, the room size was comparable to Shanghai, and the price wasn't cheap either.
