Grand Hotel Qinhuang

I wouldn't recommend staying here. Everything about it was subpar, from the cleanliness to the management – it definitely doesn't meet the expected standards. No wonder its rating is low.

First time staying at this hotel, and it was a pleasant experience avoiding the crowds. The breakfast buffet had a limited variety, but the taste was decent. The late-night snack options were a bit monotonous. The room was clean, and the service was good. I just wish there were more breakfast options. It's quite convenient for ordering takeout.

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the beach. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the surrounding area is super convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation. Plus, there's ample parking in the hotel's lot.

The hotel was decent. The lobby was quite grand, but I wasn't initially happy with the room I was assigned. However, the staff actively helped to resolve the issue, which was good. Overall, it meets five-star standards. That said, the landscaping around the hotel wasn't very well maintained and could use some improvement!

Walking into the room and seeing the ocean from the window initially made me happy, but then I looked down and saw a green fly. My child almost reached for it! I called the supervisor, who said the room had definitely been cleaned and the fly must have come in when the window was open for ventilation. To apologize, they offered a fruit platter. My parents are easygoing and just said it was fine, so I didn't push it further. I actually thought they should have at least changed our room and re-cleaned it, or offered breakfast, which would have been more practical. Anyway, my first impression wasn't great. Not sure what else to say.

Facilities: As an older hotel, the facilities are indeed quite dated. It's fine if you're looking for a nostalgic experience, but it falls short compared to modern smart hotels. Hygiene: Overall, it was relatively clean, but it felt a bit old and worn as soon as I entered. Environment: The location is quite good, just a short walk to the beach. Many rooms also offer direct sea views. The hotel lobby still has a grand feel. Service: The staff are quite professional, and the service is decent. However, the hotel's amenities themselves aren't great. For example, the complimentary movie viewing is actually in a small, old room with a projector. The main issue is that the internet speed is terrible, making it practically unusable. I'm not sure what the point of this 'perk' is. Transportation: It's fairly convenient, and there are a decent number of parking spaces, though it might be difficult to park during peak season. Food: The breakfast experience was average, nothing memorable. The complimentary late-night snack was quite stingy. It can't even be compared to the late-night porridge at Atour. Value for money: I'd only recommend staying here during the off-season if you want to be close to the beach; I wouldn't highly recommend it at other times.

An old hotel that's pretty standard. The service was decent. The bay window offered a 45-degree view of the sea, though I imagine a corner room would have a better view. The central air conditioning seems old; it wasn't great. It took a long time to cool down, and I had to set it very low to get any real temperature drop. It was hot and cold throughout the night. The bed was comfortable though, not too soft.

This was incredibly noisy, and I didn't get a wink of sleep all night. I was really looking forward to a good rest, enjoying the sea view and warm weather, but I woke up with my head buzzing. I've stayed at your hotel before for conferences and thought it was quite good, both the facilities and the environment. This time, I specifically wanted a good night's sleep and even called ahead to request a room with a better view and on a higher floor. If it's difficult to arrange, then just say so, right? But no, the room I was given, despite my specific requests, was in a poor location, right next to the road, small, didn't have a bathtub, and the bathroom light flickered. It was completely different from my previous stay. What's the point of me requesting a specific room if you can't even give me a standard one? Is it really that hard? It feels like you intentionally targeted me. And you clearly know there's construction on the right side of the hotel, so why are you still giving those rooms to guests? From 1 AM, there was extremely loud construction noise, constant banging and roaring, making it impossible to sleep until morning. I finally dozed off because I was so exhausted, but my head was throbbing when I woke up. I will absolutely never set foot in your hotel again. I've recommended your hotel to so many people! I genuinely loved my last stay, which was just a standard booking for a double room – no special requests or anything – and I had a great experience. But today's experience was absolutely terrible. Please call me back before 5 PM.
