As a solo female traveler, safety is my top priority, and this hotel immediately made me feel secure. It was also very quiet at night, which is so important for getting a good night's sleep while traveling. The location is excellent, close to several attractions. You can walk to the Confucius Temple and Guandi Temple, and Tianhou Temple and West Street are not far either. Visited Quanzhou during the May Day holiday and found Huacai Hotel on Ctrip. We got a free room upgrade, and there were complimentary fruits and local specialties on the coffee table. I highly recommend this hotel. First, the location is fantastic – right next to the Confucius Temple, with a small square, and the surrounding architecture is perfect for photos. Many attractions within the ancient city are within walking distance, and exploring the alleys is very pleasant. Although it's an older hotel, and the facilities might be a bit dated, the service is still excellent, with attention to many small details. I booked a package that included not only breakfast (no charge for the child) but also free flower hairpin making and late-night sweet soup, which is really great value for money! Overseas Chinese Hotel is quite famous, so I came to experience what was once the best hotel 30 or 40 years ago. I'm sure many overseas Chinese lived here. A truly wonderful stay! 👍👍 The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the Confucius Temple and just a few minutes from the Guandi Temple. Getting to attractions like East and West Streets is super convenient with the 'Xiao Bai Che' (local mini-bus). From the hotel's rooftop, you can even catch a distant view of the twin pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple.
