Marconi Hotel

Hotel consigliato, ci soggiorniamo spesso per lavoro. Comodo e confortevole.

On a cold day at the end of January I find myself spending a day (from 9 to 17) of corporate meeting in the Steve Jobs meeting room inside this hotel. The room is well furnished and modern but with non-existent heating! Although the only and distant air conditioner was set at 30 degrees we realize that the air that comes out is not hot on the contrary .. After informing the reception several times of the disservice a young technician finally arrives to try to resolve the situation without any relevant positive implications. Luckily the colleagues had coats to cover themselves from the cold (we weren't on the terrace eh!). Furthermore, during our training meeting the hdmi cable available stops working, leaving us inexorably without video support for the second half of the day! The technician (after our request) comes to "support" us with an additional screen as it is not feasible to repair the cable in a short time. The monitor that is offered to us is immediately brought back as it is a Mac PC screen and does not even have the entrance we are looking for… The hotel however has an excellent positioning and the availability of free parking as well as well-kept interiors, bright and modern. An important flaw comes from the "lunch".. I mean, was that a lunch? For the MODIC sum of 18€ each we are made available (in a breakfast room where even spoons were missing - stuff that only happened to me in Bulgaria) miniature sandwiches with various cold cuts, tiny sandwiches and panzerotti which eat 4 is not even worth half. The rice with cherry tomatoes and eggs and the fresh bread are appreciable but honestly for a similar amount, if it were up to me, I would have taken two large menus at the McDonald's next door. A positive note comes from the "coffee break" always available in the breakfast room and with the availability of hot and good cream or chocolate croissants despite it being 11.50!

We came on motorbikes to get to know the area, therefore Excellent location to reach all points of interest in the area without suffering from city traffic. Very helpful and friendly staff (like all Calabrians). Superior room very spacious, CLEAN and equipped with everything, very comfortable. Great breakfast. Recommended for both business trips and relaxing stays.

Albergo vicinissimo all'uscita autostradale, motivo per cui non ticaspetti di trovare un hotel a 4 stelle autentiche. Camera spaziosa arredata con gusto, e altrettanto dicasi del bagno con una larga doccia accogliente, con grande soffione confortevole. Anche i prodotti detergenti del bagno sono di ottima qualità prodotti in Italia. Ristorante di prim'ordine come anche la colazione internazionale completa di prodotti tipici calabresi, da consumare in sale moderne e molto eleganti. Il livello di pulizia e di efficienza dei vari apparsti/servizi indicano l'attenzione per le manutenzioni che fanno si che non si vede nulla di rotto o non funzionante. Nota di merito riguardo alla gentilezza e alla professionalita del personale della reception e dei ristoranti sempre gentile e attento alle esigenze del cliente.

l'hotel è un cilindro di vetrocemento piazzato sulla rotonda di Rende all'uscita della tangenziale, quindi posizione non eccelsa se non per i gruppi di passaggio come il nostro. La nota positiva è il bagno enorme, in pratica una mini stanza. L'hotel non dispone di un ristorante proprio ma si appoggia ad uno presente al piano interrato. Il personale della reception è gentile.

Soggiornato durante un tour di gruppo. Camera non molto spaziosa, ma con tutto il necessario. Personale gentile e disponibile, doccia ampia, colazione ottima e varia con anche la spremuta di arance al posto del solito succo. Prima di cena siamo usciti a fare due passi, ma i dintorni sono piuttosto tristi.
