Staying with kids at the Queenstown Garden Court Apartments was super convenient for our family trip. Having a washer, dryer, and dishwasher was a lifesaver for our long road trip, especially for our two-night stay in the middle. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and dishes, so we could buy groceries at Park 'n Save in town and cook for the kids, which was reassuring. It's a 3-minute walk downhill to the lakeside path and 10 minutes to the town center, plus free parking. The street-facing rooms can be a bit noisy with traffic, so choosing a room on the courtyard side is quieter. Housekeeping is every three days. In winter, there's heating, but it's not super warm. Overall, the facilities are complete and the location is solid, making it a hassle-free choice for families exploring Queenstown.

Great location on the mountain with even better views! The service and staff were top-notch. Excellent value for money! The room was clean and spacious – highly recommend! This hotel was fantastic, definitely the best value for money on our trip. The room was large and spacious, equipped with a microwave and a fridge. Our flight from Auckland to Queenstown was seriously delayed that day. I hadn’t noticed the email instructions sent to me just before 8pm with late check in instruction, so we were a bit panicked to find the reception closed. Fortunately, I used the emergency contact button outside, and the duty manager responded right away — she was courteous and patient, kindly repeating the check-in instructions without any sign of annoyance. We checked in smoothly, and it was great that Queenstown’s shops stay open late — we even enjoyed a Fergburger dinner and gelato dessert after 10 pm! Highly recommend this place.

Nestled on a small hill by the lake, it's about a 10-minute walk to the town center, so the location is pretty good. We paid to upgrade to a two-bedroom unit with a balcony, which came with a washing machine, dryer, two bathrooms, a large fridge, and all the pots and pans you could need. The facilities were excellent, and we were very satisfied. The only downside was that the floorboards between levels were quite thin, so the soundproofing wasn't great. Footsteps from the upstairs bedroom were quite noisy, meaning whoever stayed up there had to tiptoe around to minimize disturbance. I strongly advise against staying at this apartment. First, the front desk service is poor; there's no one there after 8 PM. Second, it's a walk-up, which is a real hassle with luggage. The interior facilities are really bad—basic and even rundown. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and hadn't been replaced, making for a terrible experience. Fourth, I was assigned a room facing the main road, and the noise outside was unbearable. What's more, this apartment-style hotel uses traditional keys for the doors, and there's no security gate or main entrance, making it feel very unsafe. Single women should definitely avoid it. I recommend Trip.com remove this listing; paying over 2000+ for one night during Chinese New Year was extremely poor value for money.

Fantastic stay! Great location, just a 10-minute walk to Queenstown city center and a 3-minute walk to the bus station. The lake is only 2 minutes away, and the views are absolutely stunning! The facilities are excellent; we could even cook our own meals. The steak we pan-fried was delicious. However, the twin beds were incredibly narrow—felt like only 80cm wide. I was a bit worried I'd roll off when I turned over!

The place doesn't look super high-end, but overall, it's clean. The location is very close to Lake Wakatipu, which is stunning on a clear day. My only regret is the steep, 30-40 degree uphill walk for less than 200 meters from the lake (as shown in the picture) – it's exhausting! It's not far from downtown, and walking to the lake, restaurants, and shops is manageable, but again, that big slope means constant uphill and downhill. I loved that the two bedrooms are on separate floors, so they don't disturb each other. However, the service is just okay. For a three-night stay, they only emptied the trash and didn't make the beds, saying they were afraid of disputes over lost items, and wouldn't even do it if guests requested – that's a bit unreasonable. On the plus side, having a free washer and dryer in the suite is fantastic.
