Nestled among the trees on 26 acres, this cozy 700 square foot cabin offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. A 1/4-mile wooded driveway leads to this charming retreat, where you can relax on the porch swing or take a nap in the hammock while watching deer and turkey.
Filled with games and books, this cabin is perfect for those rainy days. Located just 2 miles from the Quemahoning Reservoir, you'll be minutes away from fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The Laurel Highlands area offers plenty of outdoor adventures, including visits to the Flight 93 Memorial and nearby state parks. You're also just a short drive from Laurel Mountain Ski Resort, Seven Springs, and Hidden Valley.
Please note, this cabin is rustic and has been updated with modern amenities, but does not have a TV or WiFi. There is cell service, but we encourage you to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature during your stay. The loft area is off limits to guests and the spiral staircase leading up to it is not to be used.
The driveway is dirt and gravel and requires an AWD or 4x4 vehicle during the winter months. Drive slowly and enjoy the scenic journey up the small gravel hill to the cabin.
Absolutely no pets are permitted in the cabin.

My third stay at the cabin was wonderful, as expected. It's a beautiful place surrounded by woods, peaceful, relaxing, and private. It rained all day on one day of my stay, but even that was delightful: I sat on the porch in a comfortable chair and read a book, while listening to the rain. Thanks, as always, to Mr. Fitzgerald for a fabulous retreat.

Just what we were looking for!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cozy cabin! We woke up our first morning to 7 inches of snow. It was so beautiful! Chris supplied plenty of wood for the wood stove, and we had brought groceries to cook all of our meals, so the only time we left the property was to visit the Flight 93 memorial which is only 3 miles away. We also enjoyed walking up to the Adirondack chairs at the top of the hill to enjoy the view. The cabin truly is better in person than the pictures show. We enjoyed the remoteness and the peace we felt there.

Heavenly tucked away cabin
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The owner was exceedingly prompt with replies and very helpful. The cabin was more picturesque than the photos gave credit - Immaculately kept, with everything you could need. The weather was unusually mild for December, so we made good use of the outdoor fire pit and even got to take a rest in the hammock. The property was secluded and private, but it was comforting to know we were not far from civilization (although we had no reason to leave). On our way home, we stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial, as it was only 20 min away. We are already talking about plans to come back in the spring. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended!!! It was perfect.

Still Wonderful
This was my second stay at Mr. Fitzgerald's cabin. It's still a wonderful and relaxing getaway for anyone who loves the woods. As I said in my first review, it's like something out of a fairy tale. Rain or shine, a stay at the cabin will renew your love of life.
