Newly opened hotel in the heart of Quezon City. Looking forward for an Ascott experience during our trip back in Manila. Rooms were quite new & good choice of room amenities. Had a variety of food choices served in the restaurant during breakfast and I’m satisfied. A lot of things to improve with your staff and provide an Ascott service which I know would be better as they do their jobs :) Improve your internet service. Experienced intermittent connection during my stay since I’m also working remotely. A short but memorable experience.

It’s 670 a day in the Philippines. It’s not cheap to bring breakfast, and there is no swimming pool. In the tourist country of the Philippines, almost all hotels have swimming pools. Friends who like hotels with swimming pools don’t need to think about it.
Sequoia Hotel

Sequoia Hotel Upon checking in, I was asked how many will be staying in the room and I said 3. The receptionist pointed out that breakfast is just for 2 of which, I didn’t have a problem with. He asked for payment for 2 nights which I paid using my card and asked for Php 2000 cash deposit which I said I’s rather be put on hold from my card. Oddly enough, we were only given 1 key. I thought maybe there was already a card placed in the card switch socket in the room but when we got there, there was none. So, was the assumption is that we each one of us open the door every time someone goes out and comes back? I requested for an extra key which took time so I made another follow up. After a couple of mins wait, someone knocked and I don’t know if they were trying to be funny but 2 staff were holding out 2 keycards when I opened the door. Seriously? Room was small but nice. There was an electric kettle and cups, the usual hotel set up but they didn’t have complimentary coffee and tea set up. A small thing for Php 4200 per night rate. On our second night, when we came back from a wedding, it was so upsetting to discover that our keys didn’t work when we came back to our room. I asked reception why and she said the key expired. Again - seriously? You get 2 nights room payment but cut the key for 1 night??? The lady didn’t even apologize but rather, said she will check on the person on duty when I checked in. Then - no updates already. After the key incident, imagine finally being able to access our room and discovering that it wasn’t cleaned. I called reception, spoke to a guy and again, I was told that “he will check on Housekeeping”. When asked if my assumption is correct that all our rooms remain uncleaned, he said “most probably, yes.” WHAAAAAAT? Waited and waited to nothing so I called again and a lady answered. She told me yes that they are already checking on what happened………….. so I asked her what I should do - am i waiting for someone to clean? Am i waiting for their feedback on what happened? Ang labo. Also reported na din our AC that doesn’t cool and is noisy. In fairness, Maintenance people went up right away. But they just told us that “every so often, when the AC / room reaches it’s max temp, the AC goes to eco mode”. What are they talking about? The AC never reached a cool mode since we checked in 24 hours ago. Room attendant finally arrived and cleaned our rooms one by one. Of course, we have to do room hopping while cleaning was on going. Convenient right? Not. Cleaning was so-so - used cups were not replaced. You’d still see a paper on the floor. Bathroom sink wasn’t wiped. But then, at least the room was “refreshed” for the night. Too many on duty on a Saturday at the front desk - apart from the 2 ladies (there was a 3rd too) at the desk. There were 2 gentlemen walking around the lobby, doing nothing. There was a time they were just standing with the bellman talking. When a lady (guest) asked for taxi assistance, all

Staff went beyond their way in providing us a quality service and great experience at the hotel. Thank you! Appreciate all your help! From breakfast buffet at CASA where we were being accomodated very closely by the staff and checking in on our baby from time to time to make sure he is enjoying his food to the front desk staff who did their best to provide us all our needs during our stay (especially the baby bath tub!). Thanks so much! We'll surely come back!

This hotel has a lot of potential, with the right management and improvements it could be one of the best hotels in that area. 1. Check in - it was fast and we were given 3 key cards which was great. We were also amazed with the lobby, it was one of the most unique lobby we have ever seen. It gave us a different vibe and definitely put our hopes high that its gonna be a great stay. 2. Corridor going to rooms and facilities- once you leave the elevator its like you are already in a different place, there are even unpolished and unfinished areas, its very gloomy, no vibe of a hotel at all. 3. Room-its actually a nice a big room. We went for a king room and a tub because it was a celebration/staycation and we have no plan on staying in a crowded spaces since we do have a 2 year old. It's not bad, the bad was big, the bed is okay, it has windows, tv, mini ref and ned is okay. 3. Room and bathroom amenities- the wifi is minimal to non existent, we cant watch not use internet, there were no slippers, there's only one set of toiletries for 2 adults, there were towels enough for 2, and 2 bottled water and coffee, if you ask for any extras than stated above there will be an extra charge. THERE WAS A WATER INTERRUPTION! We weren't able to use the bath tub the second day haha, this is what we came for, can't even flush the toilet. thankfully Sir Abbie, the only great experience aside from the lobby that we can share about this hotel, made sure to provide a service recovery. He let us use the private gym with Jacuzzi(to use it as a tub) for 1 hour, we took the offer because we saw his sincerity to solve the problem that wasnt even his fault but management's. Imagine him dealing with all the angry guests that day and still staying calm. What moved me was even visited us in the room and in the private gym personally to check on us. However the gym attendant/people turned off the lights twice and our 2 year old was really scared. The 1st time it happened we have asked nicely to turn it on since it might have been a mistake, they told us that it was indeed what happened, but the second time it happened, that was it for us, there's no way it could have happened by accident twice. So we went our way and checked out. You can check the picture to see how dark it was in the room when they turned it off we used our flashlights to get our thingS. 4. Facilities, there we no available towels in the pool area as well. Not accommodating attendants. Hotel guests are not priorities. Kids area- the only facility we are excited about, no one was there to maintain or monitor the place, no one was playing there because IT WAS A MESS. it looks like it havent been cleaned for a while. And there was a woman there with a kid who's eating and the kid is napping inside.I'm not sure if she was the attendant but I doubt. Its a big place but again, potential that has not been taken advantage of by the management. We checked the pool area. Water spa is under renovation jacuz
