I didn’t think the hotel was particularly clean and it was very dated. My bed had a cloth headboard and it had a stain on it. That is unacceptable for reasons I don’t even have to explain. The desk clerk did the absolute minimum to greet us and answer our questions. That’s fine I guess but the last few hotels I stayed in had wonderful staff so it was a bit of a downer. It was a great location and economically priced so I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel did not have 2 tein beds, only one twin bed. By the time we reached the hotel and found out, it eas too late to cancel...so we lost the booking fee.

We were given a lovely room with a view of their gorgeous courtyard by MarieLou. We loved having a kettle. Maria (from housekeeping) made sure that we had the provisions required and shared her photos of Albanian dancing with me when I said that we had come for the folk dancing at the Cornouaille festival. Louis allowed me to mix up Italian and French as he is fluent in both. You are ALL wonderful. Suzanne xxx

While the hotel is in a very good location, the staff was indifferent, if not unfriendly. When I asked them to call a cab for my wife and I, they looked at me as if I had asked them to donate a kidney. The rooms are a nice size but the interiors are tired. Despite what some tour guide books said, the breakfasts are nothing special.

Lovely personal hotel, with a very comfy breakfast room/bar, nice library corner, and lovely courtyard. Excellent breakfast. Easy walk to downtown Quimper.

This a typical three-star hotel -- perfectly fine but nothing special. There is no elevator, Our room was of reasonable size with decent storage. Location is walkable to the train station and to the center of town. One reviewer complained about the bed being extra-hard; we did not find this to be the case.

One of the hotels booked through Brittany Ferries on their Breathtaking Brittany tour. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent buffet breakfast, The Bulldog still patrols the corridors and the Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and the restaurant area of old town Quimper. However the service we received from the hotel after my wife had an accident on her motorcycle when leaving was exceptional. A room was found for us on two consecutive nights. We had to shift around due to rooms being booked but that was the least of our worries. The owner agreed to allow us to store the damaged bike in the hotel garage until we sorted out the insurance and arranged collection on our return to the uk. Therefore I have no reservations about recommending this hotel.

The entrance to the hotel and particularly the courtyard outside could do with some updating and maintenance. The reception staff, although pleasant, were not what one expects from a 3 star hotel. The cage with "gerbils" was off putting in such a hotel - looked dirty and we wondered how the rooms would be like. Luckily, our room was pleasant with old fashioned French furniture and Laura Ashley style curtains, although the carpet seemed worn. The bed and the pillows, however, made up for everything else. It was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The area was also peaceful. All in all, we shall return to this hotel if ever we visit Quimper.
