Location: The hotel is situated in the heart of the medina, offering convenient access to Rabat's cultural and historical attractions. Its central position allows guests to explore local markets and landmarks easily, despite some reviews noting the complexity of reaching it due to narrow streets.

The architecture of this historic riad was stunning - and the owners have done a beautiful job restoring it. The staff were very helpful. We also really loved the Rabat Medina - it is less touristy than Fez, Marrakech or Tangier - and the vendors were less aggressive than those cities.

Fabulously warm, characteristic welcome with smiles, Moroccan mint tea, and beautiful, functional ensuite rooms. It's my second time visiting Rabat and in this Riad - a tranquil, joyful trip we would repeat.

Very pleasant accommodating staff who are always available to meet the needs of their guests. Breakfast satisfactory, could offer more fresh fruit and perhaps cheeses. Rooms lacking in decor, a little touch up of paint would help. Bathroom requires a shower screen or curtain to avoid the whole bathroom floor becoming wet when showering. Lack of direct fresh air coming into the room as all windows opening into the breakfast room (lacking privacy). Very difficult to find within the medina with some very dirty areas to walk through to reach the accommodation.

The Breakfast was boaring und unhealthy. I had to ask for an omelette with less oil, tomato und cucumber, normal bread. One day it was ok, the next day i had to ask again. In every hostel, the breakfast is better, sorry for saying this. The breakfast place is not ideal. While eating i can hear people flushing the toilette. You are sitting litteraly in front of their window.

This is a long but honest cautionary review to any tourists who want to avoid unprofessional establishments and shady dealings while traveling. Yes the pictures are nice, yes it’s clean, yes on the surface every seems on the level… However, the place is poorly managed by a Moroccan woman who hires people based on their relationship to her boyfriend. In particular a young woman who can’t speak anything but the native dialect and doesn’t have the common sense to call her manager when she doesn’t understand what a guest is saying. Why does this matter ? Because it cost me $1,500 worth of my injectable medications that I was traveling with at the time I booked this Riad. I had them in an insulated travel bag and asked if it was possible to store it in their refrigerator overnight during my stay -due to there being no refrigerator in the rooms. This, I’d done at several other hotels during my time in Morocco with no problem. I ASKED and said “if it’s not possible, I’ll just keep the medicine with me”. The employee, gave no indication of not having understood well nor did she confirm what I’d asked. I specified it was NOT to be put in the freezer, only in the refrigerator. Again, she simply nodded her head and took the bag. I repeated, “The refrigerator please, not the freezer or it will be ruined” … smiled and nodded her head and I assumed communication was clear. Well I later learned-from the night manager that she spoke neither French, English, or classic Arabic and she was the sister of the hotel director’s boyfriend. Why does this matter? Because the next morning- I discovered that my medication had been placed in the freezer NOT the refrigerator and had been ruined!! Because when I demanded to be reimbursed the cost, the director of the Riad chain refused to do that. Because this person isn’t capable nor qualified to deal with paying customers in this capacity of receptionist nor is the director capable of assuming responsibility for her errors in judgment and dealing ethically with problems that were precipitated by her bad judgment as management leadership. In addition to this incident, the copy of my passport was left out on the front desk for anyone to have access to, the money (hotel tax) I’d paid her upon arrival had not been noted or placed with the other money and the next morning- I was asked to pay again. 🙄 was it an honest mistake- possibly but who knows for sure? Is this any of this really important? Yes as it undermines your confidence and financial security in a business where you’re staying with your valuables and is the potential for possible identity theft if your passport info is left out for the public. I’m writing this review to inform the public of the irresponsible business practices and shady dealings here. Incidentally, they never reimbursed me. They then had two employees each call me on my personal phone number to beg me to retract my Google review (go read it) as the director had threatened to fi

I stayed only 1 night and I wish I could have stayed longer! I have loved everything! The riad is brand new, very stylish, extremely clean, big, bright and silent room (last floor), fantastic bed. Internet and air conditioning work well. There's not shower curtain, so the bathroom gets a bit wet when you shower. However, no major drama. It's instead a pity that the breakfast is served inside in the riad hall, and not in the rooftop. The breakfast was good, with high quality products, but a bit scarce. Perfect location to visit Rabat, beautiful rooftop, Very kind and supportive staff. I will 100% consider to stay again in Riad Louana if in Rabat again, and I surely recommend it to everyone.
