"If there were 6 stars, I would give them to the glorious hotel! The outlook is breath-taking, and much better than the photos depict. A peaceful and calm environment. The swim-up family suite was immaculate and spacious with views over the private pool and sea on the horizon. Sunrise and sunset both visible. The restaurant is very special, with the tasting menu being delectable yet affordable. It feels very high end and the service was warm and professional. The front of house staff were so helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond to make our stay special, even arranging room service by special request. It’s incredible value for money, and the most stunning place our family has stayed! Just do it!"

"We were a big group and booked pretty much all the rooms. Enrico, the host was absolutely amazing, very helpful and very patient with all our requests. The place is very nice, it's like being in your own little village. All the rooms were to everyone's expectation. Breakfast was nice and tasty and accommodated our Gluten Free request as well. The place is very clean, a nice big pool. Onsite parking. Honestly have nothing to complain about. Thank you Enrico & everyone at Borgo Monachella."

"Lovely large quiet and clean room (the best we were told, no 12) with an extensive patio / terrace. Bed comfortable and shower good. Staff friendly, polite and professional,couldn't do more. Breakfast choice good. Pool small but usable and sun on the patio most of the day. Gardens pretty. Hotel generally quiet even tho' booked up. Location not the best for us. Terrace needs some proper outside furniture."

"We stayed in Acacia Marina in June & had a lovely chilled 10 days. The hotel was nice, very quiet & just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Great supermarket 5 minutes up the road too. Staff in the restaurant were all very friendly, reception staff were hit & miss. Our only problem was that our bed linen wasn't changed for 8 days out of 10, until I complained."

"Very impressive hotel with some very large rooms. Ours had a fantastic balcony looking over the street and featured some beautiful original architectural details. The choice of furniture felt a little 2000's and slightly out of place so that felt a little disappointing. The hotel features a spa with a mini pool which is very nice and can be booked privately with a bottle of wine, a nice extra. Breakfast was standard buffet style and very average given the upscale feel of the hotel. Location wise it is on a very quiet street but is in walking distance of most things, not that there is too much going on in Ragusa, it is very pretty though. Overall it was pretty expensive but worth it for the night."

"The room was upgraded, free parking was provided and the breakfast was very rich. Because the room is close to the front desk, it is a bit noisy, but it is quiet at night. Another thing is that I finally met a receptionist who spoke fluent English."

Hotel Il Barocco

"I stayed at the hotel il Barocco for a week over Christmas as part of a walking/sightseeing group. It’s a small family run hotel centrally situated in a quiet side street in Ragusa Ibla. It has every facility but is more traditional than ultra modern. The management and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the bed was a little on the hard side for my liking but I slept well. The rooms had a small fridge and a kettle for making tea or coffee, a hairdryer and were well equipped. The shower was always hot. The WiFi was good. My ground floor single room only had a tiny balcony overlooking a quiet backstreet but some double rooms on an upper floor had a larger balcony with a view over the town. There was a pleasant lounge to relax in before dinner and a bar. The buffet breakfast was superb and tea and coffee was made to order. Local products were provided and delicious home made cakes! The hotel provided us with a traditional evening meal on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was very good but there was just too much food with several courses! On the other evenings we ate at local restaurants only a short stroll away. There was an attractive courtyard terrace in front of the hotel that must be very pleasant during warmer months. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cosy, friendly small hotel centrally situated in Ragusa Ibla."
